If you are looking for control - do something like GUE Fundamentals or UTD Essentials of Tech. It will not give you depth but plenty of opportunity to learn about controlling yourself underwaterverrinne wrote:Because of the control you learn and depth.

Re: Travel Bag
Now if I could only find the perfect bag to pack my Cuda..... A buddy of mine made a perfect travel setup for Cuda. He puts a tail into rubbermaid action packer. A body goes inside the case made out of pipe insulation I believe. All the clothes go inside the body. Batteries in carry-on. This puts y...

I have a full frame Canon 1D MkII professional DSLR camera body thats FREE to a good home. http://i.imgur.com/dazFoDv.jpg 1D MkII never was full frame though :). It had that weird 1.3 ratio which still required full frame lenses but was not quite full frame. Hell of a sports camera though and tough...

Re: What to bring to dive the Puget Sound?
Making a packing list for my trip, couple questions... What thickness undergarments do most people wear for diving in Sept? What is the avg water temp for say a 100 foot dive compared to 60? I have what equals an 4th element arctic top and bottom and moisture wicking/warming underwear that I wear m...

Re: Wacky Wednesday West – 07/02/2014
I'd be interested in joining for dives 2+3 if anyone could lend a buddy and a spare mask. Mine has been leaking for a while and the lens popped out after the last dive. It's being replaced under warranty but it leaves me without one for a little bit. Everyone usually carries a spare mask. I'll brin...

I'll be there for dives 2 & 3. Given that I have not been diving for about 2 months or so - it will be an easy shakeout dive for me.

Re: WTB Ditchachable Weight Pockets for BP/W
Anyone have any ditchable weight pockets cluttering up their dive locker that they'd like to part with? I'm looking for something in the 20-30lb range to add to the harness on my backplate and wing. I've been diving for years with a weight belt but had some recent back problems that make me think h...

This is what I call, a classic, "read the fine print first before signing". If you don't like the fine print (i.e., where the captain plans to take the chartered boat) that day, then don't go. Sorry to hear that you have been taken to the same sites over and over again Jeremy. Well, I gue...

What do you mean by that? A lot of people have Halcyon SMBs - e.g. Koos, Grateful Diver (I suspect), etc. You can buy them in Tacoma Scuba, which is a Halcyon dealer. What do YOU mean by that??? I like to take the information I get here and add it to what I find other places and then make a decisio...

You need a spool then. As for the sausage/SMB - I've been told that Halcyon ones are the best and the only blue H product which is worth paying premium for. Thanks that is good information, now all I need to know is where to find it so I can research it. What do you mean by that? A lot of people ha...
