Glad you had a great trip! That wolfeel shot is wicked!

Snake Island is my favorite too. Did you find the overhangs?

Did you mean Clark Rock for the last dive? Duncan is in Neah Bay.

Awesome!
I love the 4th picture and the hooded nudibranchs pictures especially.
I really wanted to go this year, but I'm too busy with work thru end of october, so thanks for sharing.

Sweet pics! Keep 'em comin'! Get any hooded nudibranch pics? I still need to get out there and take some more pics of those.

Where is the best eelgrass bed at redondo?

Re: Salt Creek 9/1

This was my first dive using a wide angle dome port on my G10 - and we had some great vis to play with. I still have some wrinkles to iron out, but overall I was pretty happy with the results. I would have liked to do another dive with my macro lens though - there were tons of nudibranchs (at least...

I've had Ansell Point and Whytecliff Park in Howe Sound on my to-do list for years now. Charter could be cool too. I'd be up for a trip!

Hi
I wouldn't recommend seeking this out as a scooter dive or shore dive unless you were already on Orcas. You'll hit better sites, get more dives in, and be safer if you take a boat charter in the San Juans.

Brown Rock/Obstruction Pass

Hi Franroque (Francis) and I went diving at Brown Rock/Obstruction Pass, on Orcas yesterday. It is the shore dive with the longest surface swim I've ever done! Probably twice as far as muck oil docs? Luckily the current swept us back to the entry at the end of the dive! Anyway, it's a pretty average...

Redondo -- Sept 3

Camerone and I went for a dive at Redondo yesterday morning. Viz was quite great during the dive, until the very end in the shallows, when it went completely foul with a red brown icky muck. Still lots of octos in abundance, and we also got to see the hooded nudibranchs again. This time I had my cam...

Very cool.
I saw a big one out at Neah Bay a few years back. That was quite a sight!
Jesse also found and photo'd a skate recently. Let's hope to find more!

www.dairiki.org

Hi
I usually get my tides and current info from http://www.dairiki.org. However, the last couple days, I've been getting a "502 Bad Gateway" error from this site.

Anybody have any alternatives they may suggest (for pc, not mobile)

Thanks!

Three Tree -- August 30

Hi
A bunch of us last night went to Three Tree for some more night diving in the blue bioluminescence. Great diving!

That's a really nice campground, especially in September once the crowds die down. Beautiful sunsets from there, and we also saw orcas swim by a couple times! Haven't dove there though!

Hi Francis Wow, I'm camping at Moran State Park that same weekend! (yes, planned 9 months in advanced to get that perfect spot! it's a great camping spot if you haven't been there yet.) I wasn't planning on diving but I could maybe be talked into it, else certainly snorkelling/kayaking. A quick sear...

Sixgill tidbits

Hi I found the following two pieces of information on sixgills on the internet recently. 1) Info on sixgill sibling behavior from the Seattle Aquarium (old, but I hadn't seen it) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNkFyjbPPII 2) Interesting info on dead sixgills being washed ashore from the Orca Network...

Redondo 8/19

Hi DLH and I went diving at redondo last night. We spent 50 minutes at >90 feet looking for a shark, but didn't see any. We also ran into several other dive teams (including Grateful diver), none of them found a shark either. Oh well, great dive anyway. Sorry I didn't get any pictures, as I was havi...
