I stopped by there on the way to Ed's Fault on Jan 2nd and there were no signs about diving

I agree - for photography Salt Creek is better than HCB

I'd say Salt Creek is a back up for Hood Canal Bridge having dive both locations.

Met up with lots of NWDC members last Saturday and braved the frigid morning temps to load up on 4 RIB's and hit Ed's Fault and the Warhawk. Great wintertime diving! Thanks for posting...I've been eyeing that macro lens and have been long curious as to how well it works.

Seems like lighting is more critical when using the macro lens and so you would want a GoPro with a back screen.

I've dove with Jen V and her split fins. She silted out Deception Pass so bad that it took me 50 minutes to find her again

One other thing...I think for the majority of divers it doesn't matter much. It's mainly an issue that comes up if you are working into precision kicking or not
