Gdog it wasn’t comfortable, I dove a shell so there is that.

Atlan dry suit
Atlan neoprene dry suit I got part of a package deal, it’s a bit too short for me I’m 6’2” 205lbs. Zipper, seals look amazing, I haven’t dove it so I can’t guarantee it’s leak free, but it looks almost brand new. Trying to clean room around the house, thinking $250 is a screaming deal. Located in pd...

Re: Seeking Advice on first BCD Purchase and Insights on Sidemount Diving in PNW
Yeah it’s just not big here, I’m in Oregon, have dove up in hood canal and a lot of heads turned and were in awe. I think it’s lack of knowledge, down here in Oregon, it’s a lot of shore entry or climbing over boulders for jetties, which isn’t conducive to side mount.

Re: Looking for dive buddy
I'm planning on diving barview the 18th, not sure what weekend you'll be at the coast and if you are looking for a buddy or solo. Are there any good dive locations out your way?

Re: Looking for dive buddy
Hello! Not sure how familiar you are to Oregon diving, there isn't any real pod dive sites in Astoria, south a little bit is your best bet for Oregon diving, again most people dive to hunt or just for fun but not the visibility youll get up in Washington. Where are you coming from and what do you wa...

Hello, I've noticed people don't always check this forum, I think you'll find most divers go up to Seattle area to dive, however if you get hooked up with the right crowd there is diving to do in Oregon on the coast, I usually go to fish, or get crab etc. there are a few lakes worth diving in Oregon...

Re: Wavy shore dive exits
Monastary Crawl!! basically swim up to the shore and end up on your hands and knees and crawl up the beach keeping regulator in until you are to the dry sand so you know your clear of any sneaker waves, then shed some gear

Re: Hello from a new member!
Thanks for the info! I've been to the Hood Canal before, it's where I did my AOW. I guess, in relation to a lot of other popular sites, it's really close, but it's still a pretty fair drive for a "I just feel like diving" weekend. As far as diving off the Oregon Coast goes, I'm not too wor...

Re: Hello from a new member!
I live in portland, i used to dive a bit on the coast when i lived in eugene (go ducks) ive dove the fingers in newport, the jetty in florence and once in winchester bay. none of them are super good for just diving to see marine life. some are better for spear fishing and some for crabbing. if your ...

what is the difference between your primary regulator vs your back up, and in terms of function. reason i ask other than it being yellow, why is the same regulator cost so much more for a primary vs the backup?

Re: Dive outfits and Charters on OR Coast? Want to dive OR Coast Close to PDX!
Hey Chris! So in my years diving in oregon no, there are no dive charters that I've ever heard of, however down in Eugene there is a club that dives once a month and maybe people there would want to dive. I'm in the Pdx area. What are you wanting to dive for? Usually diving on the coast is for a rea...

Re: I know this'll bring interesting conversation (p-valve)
Much appreciated on all the advice, just wanted to be sure before making a hole! I have another question regarding setup. I read a lot online that people fidgit around with hooking up and how it can be awkward around others, so my idea is why not get a short piece of tubing and attach a barb connect...

Thank you

Re: I know this'll bring interesting conversation (p-valve)
so question, i got my the light monkey tinkle valve, and ive been contemplating location, my first thought is the front it could rub and not a huge fan of the idea which makes me ponder why wouldnt you put it to the back/outside of your leg? your bc protects it mostly from being snagged on anything,...

Re: I know this'll bring interesting conversation (p-valve)
Appreciate all the help and ideas, my biggest thing is I have seen a lot of talk but never met anyone who actually used one, I'm pretty convinced to get on if I use it that'll make the dives that much more relaxed and if I don't need it at least I have it

I know this'll bring interesting conversation (p-valve)
Ok so I dive dry and some reason when I dive I have to pee in which I always hold it, so my question is how many recreational divers use them? I feel like its taboo to have one and be a rec diver since your only forced to hold it for an hour or whatever
