Re: Rockfish Viewing on the Pinnacle!
Nice Job Janna, as always. On Pinnacle and Pulali West I constantly get comments of the number, variety and size of the rockfish. Pinnacle is like a nursery area, it would be nice to make that a protected area. There was some talk about it a couple years ago but I never heard more.

Nice Tom! I've seen those around Pulali Point and Pinnacle. About 5 years ago I first saw one, found them commonly for 2 or 3 years in that area, then they disappeared. Anyone know why the come and go?

Re: Porthole Dive Charters closing up shop
I'll probably catch some flack for saying this, but Thank You Wally for saying that. You have a good perspective on the challenges of running a local dive charter. I know Mike, Scott and Craig of the Mark-5 and I know how hard they work. I'm extremely sorry this happened to Porthole and I sincerely ...

Re: WTT: my soft weights for your vinyl coated weights
I have some coated weights I'd trade, but I'm on the west side of Hood Canal. I'll be going to Edmonds Tuesday evening 8/4 and could bring them. Let me know if you're still looking for a trade, if meeting in Edmonds might work, and what you have so I can try to come up with the same in coated weight...

Re: Pulali Point and The Pinnacle: Pacadventure Dives
Thursday should be a great day, vis should be at least as good as last weekend. I have open seats on Saturday if anyone is interested........seems really strange to have open seats on a Saturday with diving as good as it is in The Hood...

FS: Max Air 55 compressor
I thought I'd post this here before I put it on Craig's List. I purchased this compressor new in 2002. It's in Excellent condition, fills an alum 80 in about 15 min and will fill HP cylinders. 220 single phase electric, weighs about 320 lbs, does not have auto drains or auto on/off. I'm selling it b...

Re: Dead Cabezons (actually dead Plainfin Midshipman)??
it's normal this time of year to see the plainfin midshipmen in the shallows in Hood Canal dead or dying. They come up to shallow water to reporduce then many die. Right now the O2 levels are good. But it's good to pay attention. This year, so far, we're seeing consistent northerly breeze with sunsh...

After a rough couple weeks, then today after a long, hot, sunny day on flat water. Driving my boat with 6 divers and searching for the best vis. Another day at work for me.... this thread made me laugh. Thank you all.

Re: Lost Camera Hood Canal Pinnacle
HI, She lost the camera while diving from our boat. We didn't find it last weekend but are still optomistic. If anyone finds it and is passing through Pleasant Harbor and wants to drop it off I'll make sure it gets back to the owner. I truly appreciate any help, I know lots of people dive that site ...

Re: Awesome day in The Hood ...
Sam and I wanted to say thanks for all the kind words, and especially for diving with us yesterday! It was without doubt the best day I've had on the water in a while. Samantha took some great photos from the boat that I posted on the pacadventure.com photo page. I hope we'll see you all again soon!...

Re: Dare I say it? Is it time to plan another CLUB DIVE!?!?
So...I'm probably breaking some rule here regarding advertising....but Pacific Adventure has room on Saturday morning / afternoon 6/21. I'd be willing to make a special NWDC rate for any club members that plan to be here for the weekend and are interested in a boat dive out of Pleasant Harbor. Send ...

Tom, It was great to have you on the boat again! Thanks for the good review on The Pinnacle, you got some great photos even though though the vis was less than we hoped for. Not to hi-jack your thread, but if anyone happens to dive The Pinnacle with their private boat....and happen to find a camera....

Here's the latest on HWY 101 around Hoodsport. Locals in Brinnon have told me the road should be open to all traffic from 7 or 8am until 7pm starting tomorrow (saturday 12/15). I haven't confirmed that info personally but believe my source is good. For vis, I haven't been in the water since last wee...
