Re: Dive shop recommendations to service lots of hear
Thanks. And yeah will probably go CCR in a bit. Want to begin baby diving. Will probably stick to 32% single tank diving for a while.

Dive shop recommendations to service lots of hear
I'm getting back into it after a 5 year break. So a few questions: 1. What're all the shops filling Trimix around here lately? 2. Who'd be willing to service half a dozen stage regs and primary regs. 3. Breaking down, hydro'ing and putting back together 4 sets of double LP104s and 6 or so single tan...

Re: Rollergirl gone Diver
I just saw this. I'm a local west Seattle resident who dives all the time! Fortunately for you, one of the best dive shops is located in WestSeattle. Go to 5th Dimension and say hi to Mark from me. Ping me anytime you want to go diving. Since my drysuit is out for repairs, I'm doing a lot of recreat...

Re: No-knees Dive Training
I'll heavily endorse Peter Rothschild here. I've assisted multiple different instructors in the area during my DM days (which was excellent advice of a lifetime I got from Koos - someone always has a different thing to teach you.) Of all of them, I'll admit Peter is the person who was the best. Want...

Re: How many dives do you get out of your argon cylinder?
Since I live next to the shop, I could say it's almost like having my own bottles and booster. I'm lazy and busy, so I have 2 6cf bottles. Anytime I go to the shop, I switch them out. Gremlins make sure they're always full of Argon. I've only run dry once, when I tried 4 (rec) dives on one bottle.

The only topping I'll add to this is to go Waltz or Tango dancing after Dive 3. :-) That'd fulfill everything we've always hoped for!

Re: GUE Seattle - Mid Week Tweak - 2/4
Lynne, I actually may be able to make an earlier Dive. How crazy and insanely unlikely would it be if we dove together? Would be one for the ages. What time were you thinking? My only condition is that you'll have to let me shoot a bag and do a mid-water ascent.

If you want to go diving in India with me middle of this year, let me know. I have to go for some visa updates and will spend a week diving and eating fresh caught fruit and fish.

Re: Faber 100 cubic foot tanks, add four pounds
Will you people stop complaining? Jeez! On my last LA trip I borrowed dissimilar doubled up tanks which had a manifold with a less-than-200bar DIN valve on one end and a 300 bar DIN on another. A scubapro reg on one, apex on another. Atomics primary second stage, Scubapro backup second stage. Beat T...

Re: Staying Warm!!!
I've learned over the last two years of experimentation that thickness matters more than insulation (especially in my feet). It also helps keep the suit tight without leeway. So if I change out my thermally-awesome-but-thin socks for thermally-mediocre-but-thick socks, the argon being held by thicke...

Re: Any Lawyers out there???
Fritz, your post on facebook was read by me over and over again, and I use it as a reference in everything I've been doing since then. It was concerning, but knowing that it could happen was helpful. I have some reference of what actually does happen in a trial of this sort.

Any Course Directors who run PADI IDC in BP/Wing setups?
Just wanted to check if you know of anyone who'd run an IDC in BP/Wing setup. I mean all the way.
