Re: A question about mixed team diving

to dredge up another thread, Leon (from innerspace AKA megalodon) and I are going to start working on this workshop. We should be in need of some crash test dummies in the next several weeks. We also hope to video it and make that available for the "open circuit buddy for the rebreather diver&q...

Re: Offboard 02 for the mCCR

I realize this is an old post but... you can very easily figure out the minimum IP you want to set it at for those dives. Figure your ambient pressure at that depth... 300 + 33 / 33 = 10.09 and then make that into "gauge" pressure (multiply by 14.7, since our gauges read in psi) Voila, PSI...

Re: $271 dollar fee to dive 100' Rock

y. If you cross at the legal crossing (albit derelict) by the marina entrance you'll have to jump from there. I have no idea how you'd get back out. I have only been to this site twice with Kruse but I am damned glad I have a boat. Right, so if you CROSS at the marina (the legal crossing) and walk ...

I'd be his buddy :) Monkey dive the b*tch with CUDAbaby! Heck, I'd do it. Not horribly interested in the wreck or even see the fascination with touching the deck. But a bounce dive to 140-145' in the tropics? Not a problem. Granted, would prefer dubs, but wouldn't have a problem with an AL80. I'd po...

Re: Florida Cave Diving

Great write up!!! here's a not _quite_ cave diving comment :) if you're wondering why the ambient glimmer of light has such a profound "effect" after a lights out exit (compared to just a shutting off lights just before getting there), check out the nocturnal house at the woodland park zoo...

CF200 and XM450 for northwest diving... by comparison... TLS and lightweight (Powerstretch or something) for "warmer" water ;) AL backplate or Monkey harness AL 80 with stage kit (you can even pick up one of the slightly PITA DSS ones and make a slung bottle out of any tank whilst on vaca)...

I know some of you have mentioned interest in our local maritime history, and such things as the wooden boat center... http://pnwfolklore.org/StanJames.html and my favorite song that some might remember from the radio or folklife festival.. http://pnwfolklore.org/audiofiles/(StanJames)TheMermaidandt...

Re: I FELT THE !!POWER!!

Welcome to the world of CUDA!!! ;) Congrats on your ride!!!! Glad you had a great time! To answer the other question, The CUDA starting speed is faster than the Sierra's top speed. You have to shift down so that all but the most streamlined sierra riders can keep up. You have to dial down all your r...

Re: Feeler: X-Scooter for sale?

I have a sierra and a CUDA in my living room and it is by NO means a foot an a half longer. Not sure what measuring tape you were using ;) Sierra: 26.5 inches CUDA: 34 inches Difference in length - 7.5 Weight is coming in just under 50lbs last time I put it on a scale (about 5 min ago). The Sierra i...

no, that was a year or so ago, but it hasn't changed much... It was about this time of year though :)

An X scooter Sierra will make the walk much more palatable. (The CUDA will get you there faster but might not be as easy to get down the ripraff - as i always say, use the tools for the dive ;)
