Re: sea star wasting
Seeing more medium sized pycnopodias – few along Alki Pipeline and one out at Pt Townsend - but it's hard to tell if they are infected. I've counted a few mottled stars, but only a couple of ochres.
Has anyone seen any spiny pinks?

Lost Fish Counting Slate w/ Pencil - Edmonds
Edmonds (Bruce Higgins Underwater Trails) While helping a newer diver out, my REEF fish survey slate jumped out of my pocket and went for a swim. It slipped out somewhere just East of Northern Lights, between the drydock and Enhancement Way. I work too much and can't get back out there for a while. ...

Re: Starfish baby bloom?
We have been seeing some smaller sunflower stars, leather stars and ochres in mid and northern Puget Sound, but the threat still looms. A few friends of mine came back from a UW marine lab open house and confirmed that the virus does seem to be sensitive to water temperature. As the waters warm up, ...

WANTED - Faber 68cf (Slim 72's) cylinders
I'm on the hunt for Faber 68cf steel cylinders (originally marketed by ScubaPro as "Slim 72's"). These are not your common variety 72cf steels. They are 19" circumference (6" diameter), 25" tall and have a working fill pressure of 3000 psi. They were manufactured with a + ra...

Re: wtb al13s, al14s or al19s
These are for suit inflation, no ponies here. Whew... there's not much run time at depth with those numbers ;-) The tank is a Luxfer S13S with an origin date of 01A09. Both the viz and hydro were performed last September and the tank was stored with 1200 psi in it (not sure if it's air or argon... ...

I have a 13 that's practically new, I think I've used it 3 times. Brushed finish, DIN valve (pro insert). I'll check the viz and hydro when I get home tonight and reply here.

Re: Lost Gear Recovered in Lake Washington..
If I'm not mistaken, the Harpoon is in 140 fsw of water... and that looks extremely recreational.
What depth did you find it at? Was the air on? If so, anything left in the tank?
Hopefully, it fell off a boat and not off someone who was narc'd...

First off, POOR KITTY ... getting blasted with 1,000 lumens... ouch! Ha I am not into leashes or lanyards... I'm a "just say no to bondage" kinda guy ;-) Another problem with using leashes and lanyards is that they tend place the camera and lights "out of sight and out of mind". ...

Re: GoBe Light setup for GoPro?
The Flip3.1 system is awesome! Being able to simply "flip" the filters out of the way and not have to worry about taking them off and losing them, is really nice. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to put something small into my drysuit pocket, only to find out later that it didn't...

Re: GoBe Light setup for GoPro?
Everything I've read is just leave the filter off in the puget sound due to lack of light. Which filter are you using in the shallows SealScott? I have a couple: 1) " URPro GR 55mm " from SRP (Snake River Prototyping) 2) Both green and blue water Flip3.1 filters from Backscatter. I also h...
