Re: Dive Operator suggestions for Roatan?

I really appreciate all the feedback but the other half is concerned there will be too much diving

Seems I can't win but am working on it.

Dive Operator suggestions for Roatan?

We usually do Cozumel and run with Aldora but this year I'm thinking of Roatan. Can anyone give me any guidance on the "best" operator there?

:supz: Thank you!

Re: odd incident underwater yesterday

I've had something similar happen to me twice on land a few years ago and it was diagnosed as an Ocular Migraine. There was little pain but it was very spooky--thought for sure I had a brain tumor. There's little information on them and I haven't had another occurrence. Having one underwater would b...

Great--good to know. I'm feeling guilty for being out of the Sound for the last couple of months and need to get wet.

Re: Light found at Redondo

I lost my partners light at Redondo a few weeks ago. It was black, slim, about 8" with a sliding forward switch. If that's the one you have I'd love to get it back?--Randy

Re: Help finding the reefs at Rockaway

Glenn-
That's a great offer but next weekend we're going to be on the Mark V doing Neah Bay so it has to be this weekend. I don't have a spare reg and frankly am still trying to get my partner to commit (the hardest part at times). I hear this place isn't too current dependent?

Re: Help finding the reefs at Rockaway

Outstanding Glenn this is great and I'll make sure and keep this map.

You have to admit that the PNW diving community really is the best. We might have our differences however I've never met anyone that wouldn't lend a hand if asked.

Re: Help finding the reefs at Rockaway

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Rockaway Beach Park is the park that you can access Norrander Reefs. Good idea about visiting LDS (Sound Dive I believe). I took a fun charter out of there once.

Thanks.

Help finding the reefs at Rockaway

I was thinking of trying a shore dive this Sunday at Rockaway which is just far enough for me to feel like I went somewhere but won't take all day to get there. I've been to the outer reefs by boat but have a little concerned on finding the inner ones by shore. Can anyone give me any tips? How's the...

Re: Thank you from Porthole

I know that my friends and I are going to support you in your time of need. The exhaust issue sounds to me like a nail in the coffin for Armstrong but I'm not the most legal savvy guy out there. My club is planning a trip with you in July to Neah Bay, sounds like you have a temp fix in place that sh...

Re: Looking for a regular weeknight buddy

Kirby, I'm in Seattle so the after work dives are usually off Alki due to traffic. Totally appreciate the offer but by the time I get down there I'll need a drink more than a dive. If you ever find yourself up here and want to get some time in, let me know.

Re: Waterman's Wall Question

I dove Waterman's Wall Dec 1, and noticed the same thing, only a few live barnacles, then again a few weeks ago, similar. Although the Feb dive had more life; considering the ideal habitat I'd of thought there would be a lot more there. I can't imagine that these guys are seasonal due to thir shell ...

Re: Problem with UK C8 eLED Plus light

frustrating isn't it? I spent days taking part my light just to find out my batteries weren't sitting on top of each other well. I ordered a conaister light, won't have to worry to much about it anymore.

Good luck!

I had exactly the same problem when I replaced my battteries. After days of taking it apart and all that it turned out to be the batteries themselves. The Duracells themselves were not sitting well on top of each other. I bought Radio Shack brand and it now works fine.
