Re: Viz Reports Thread
Flagpole Point Sunday 8/20/17 Excellent dive at Flagpole yet again. Yes this is a long surface swim if going from shore but still totally worth it. The day was perfect, no wind, very slight surface current but not enough to slow you down at all on the swim. On the drop the viz looked a bit murky but...

Re: Flagpole Update
FYI kneedeep and I went to dive flagpole last weekend and the buoys gone. We let Randy Williams know and he's going to investigate. We stayed at Mike's Beach and Mike said they'd had a wind storm. We opted out of trying too swim and find the knuckle as they didn't have a good dive map.... We dove Mi...

Re: New to WA & diving
Other good beginner sites a bit more N are Cove 2 on Alki, Edmonds Underwater Park (max depth 40 fsw) but viz might be low during the summer times, Mukilteo doing the geo dome but can be current sensitive so get with a local dive that knows how to predict slack. If you wanna hit Hood Canal Sund Rock...

3TN Lumies, Lumpies, Lumpies!!!
Dove 3 tree N last night around 6:30 PM. We started our descent right out from the walkdown entry and headed S to hit the tires. Found one nice large octo in one of the tire structures WAY tucked underneath. Lots of schooling rock fish and several lions manes (almost got hit by one about 3 inches fr...

Re: Viz Reports Thread
3 tree N 6/30 6 PM viz was actually pretty great at a chunky 25+ fsw. Even in the shallows it was 10+ fsw. TONS of spiny's on the brown kelp. I lost count at around 15! If we didn't see at least one on a piece of kelp it was weird. Very tiny guys right now but lots of fun! Go spiny hunting. Will pos...

Re: Nanaimo and Victoria June 6-8
My fav site is Madrona Pt for sure but Jody liked Tyee the best. The juvie yelloweye rockfish are everywhere on those 2 sites and those jellies abound up there. Very cool shore diving with very easy entry. It's worth a trip for sure. We were told Dolphin Beach is another great shore dive but you've ...

On Friday we drove up to Nanaimo and the first dive we did was Madrona Point Wall. The viz was poor until around 45 fsw then opened up a bit to around...
