When I was an OC diver I used to dive based on how much gas I had, then how much NDL I used up, then how cold I got. Diving CCR I have more gas than I want, more than double the NDL and i'm generally warmer since the air is moist and recycled. Now I go by how long I really want to dive, now how long...

I've never been diving anywhere where there were so many places with near 100% coverage...maybe I just need to stick to diving the south pacific!

Re: Oxtox and fatality at 1.4 PPO2
In this case, the person seemed to have a history of not quite feeling right at depth. Because pressure changes in the sinuses and inner ear often lead to some degree of vertigo on a dive, it seems all to easy to shrug off signs of such a sensativity. Sounds like it could have been a hyper sensitivi...

Trip Report-Ambon Indonesia 07
Trip Report-Ambon Indonesia 07 Myself, my wife and our friend Andy spent 2 1/2 weeks diving with Maluku divers in Ambon Indonesia back in March of this year (07) and I’m finally getting around to putting up a report about this awesome trip. Mario and Ika run the place and do a very nice job. The are...

Re: Greetings from Greenlake!
evenings are good, on occasion weekdays are a possibility. drop me a line with some options. I like doing something simple like cove 2 the first time I dive with a new buddy. g Howdy and welcome! We're almost neighbors, I'm on the other side of Aurora, in Greenwood. What days can you dive?[/quote]

Just thought I'd chime in here and say that my wife and I have had quite a bit of instruction with Curt and Mel and I can only say good things about the quality of their teaching. They are top notch. In this day and age and specifically with rebreathers it's hard to find an instructor or destributor...

Steve, depending on how you go about it and your style of diving there is quite a range in costs. A full eCCR is more expensive. To trick out any style rebreather for the redundancy I prefer for extended expeditions adds a few thousand. For training and gear my first rebreather venture cost about 12...

We have spent the last year diving rebreathers and are just now making the transition from electronicall...
