Drysuit repair
My Bare drysuit finally leaked last week. The water was really choppy and it pushed me towards one of the pillars covered with barnacles. I felt the water come in and my left arm got wet. I just did a leak test and it's definitely ripped. I can even see the slight tear from inside. I know I can take...

Found gears?
Just an idea but it would be cool to have a sticky thread where we can post the gears we find at dive sites.
I actually lost my snorkel at the Edgewater park in Mukilteo last week. I also find various gears at Mukilteo T-Dock and Edmonds.

I saw a whole bunch in Mukilteo too! Mostly small ones but it was awesome to see them moving and feeding on dead crab.

Do you guys still walk over to where the oil dock used to be for crabbing? I've been going to the other dock by the train tracks and I'd catch 2 or 3 if I'm lucky. I miss the old oil dock... I took it for granted.

It hasn't begun yet but that flyer does clearly say
"work zone closed to recreational users beginning June 2015"
I still see people with boats dropping pots and divers going there though.

It is officially off limits. We are not supposed to go there. With that being said, there won't be anyone there to stop you. It's dive at your own risk.

Re: How much have you spent so far?
It sounds like tec diving is where it gets really expensive.
I'm still a noobie so forgive me for asking a dumb question, but why should I avoid split fins? I was told split fins are actually better.

Re: How much have you spent so far?
Is it because you guys keep getting better gears? I was told that most dive equipments would last 10+ years as long as I take good care of them. Did you guys buy second set of gears as back up? I can see how dive vacations can easily cost more than the gear itself. That's why I wanted to just focus ...

Re: How much have you spent so far?
Oh man I'm dying to know how much you guys spent on just your gears. Running my numbers again, I think I actually spent about $3800... But I haven't purchased any underwater camera or video equipment yet. Not even a gopro.

How much have you spent so far?
How much have you guys spent on all of your diving equipments since you started diving? Let's not include any trip expenses or air/nitrox refills. I have been diving a little under two years so far and I think I've spent around $3000. It would have been less if I hadn't bought a used drysuit that di...

Re: Worthington vs. Faber Tanks
The rusting would be unrelated to any hydro issues. I'd double check the quality of your tank fills. My bad, I wasn't trying to say they were related. Reading back what I posted, it does sound like that's what I said though. I got my tanks filled mostly at the Lynnwood Lighthouse Dive and sometimes...

Re: Worthington vs. Faber Tanks
I have heard that Worthington tanks may have hydro issues though. I just got VIP done at UWS and they told me I had to get it tumbled even though the tank is only 2 years old. They said it wasn't too badly rusted but still recommended the tumble so I paid for it.

Re: Worthington vs. Faber Tanks
Dang it... I knew I should have bought one more before they were discontinued... Call me weird, but I just want two of the same sized tanks. I either want two Worthington's or two Faber's. Not one of each. Do you think it would be easier to return the Faber and try to pick up a used Worthington for ...

Worthington vs. Faber Tanks
Hey guys I just purchased an HP100 Faber Steel Tank from UWS during their Scubafest. I didn't realize at the time but when I got home and set the Faber tank next to my HP100 Worthington Steel Tank, Faber tank was considerably taller and wider. I guess it was my fault for assuming all HP100's were go...
