Re: Dive Gear STOLEN!!
Having rescued gear recently, what really helped is I had the Police Case # and the contact phone. If they walk into a shop we don't have time to try to pull up Craigslist or nw diveclub. If possible post those things.

Re: Stolen Dive Gear at Redondo today (4/21/13)
First of all without Seven Seas Scuba Cary's due diligence in sending out an email to the shops, this would not ever have happened. And to answer others, he was a doper with 30k in warrants, NOT a diver...

At a recent Light and Motion Demo Dive of the NightSea Lights, we had a few divers lose some of the filters. One of the mask filters and one of the light filters. We conducted the demo at Redondo so if any of you find/found these unique looking items it would be awesome if you could contact us at th...

Re: p-valve
Both fuel line or camelback tubing will work. What makes the decision is how you route. My tube comes straight up from my valve and I point my catheter tip straight up. From there I just run about 20" of line going straight up doing a u-turn back to my catheter. If you do a loop type of route t...

With the 2012 models now going for $499, I can't see the benefit of the additional $500. As for issues...I don't personally know anyone who has had a problem with them with Nitrox.

NWCID,
I can easily get her into a couple of options within your budget, perhaps even cheaper that you thought. PM me if you'd like more info.

Twin Tanks & Hollis Harness and Wing 4 Sale
I am selling my PST HP 80 twin tank setup along with the OMS bands, Manifold and Backplate for $400.00. The tanks are in current VIP and Hydro. I am also selling my Hollis HTS 2 Harness (XL), Weight Pockets and 85 lb lift BAC bladder for $400.00. The harness alone retails for almost that, and it (as...

Lost Fins at Redondo
Hey NWDC, One of our students left a set of fins at Redondo on the garbage can by the steps Saturday morning. I am hoping that someone may have saved them, I believe they are Black Scubapro Twin Jet Max's. I believe that's the correct fin and color, however if you found a set like that on the garbag...

Stolen Zeagle Tech BCD
Friday evening, while open, someone decided to take my Zeagle Tech BCD right from our drying rack in front of Underwater Sports in Federal Way. It should be easy to identify. First it is custom sized with a medium shoulder and large waist. It also has two QuickDraw brackets on the cam bands, one sil...

Re: Dry suit exhaust valve
Sometimes, its not the valve at all, but the undergarment getting sucked up into the valve opening. Although some of these valves have guards they don't always work well, especially with loose stuffing undergarments like the Weasel and certain fleeces. I've seen divers do different things. Some wrap...

Jeff, I go to Strong Water twice a year. We do a fun dive in January where we always get about 90-100' of viz. I also teach a wreck class in August on the Chaud and we are always blessed with at least 30-50' even then. Kal and Ann are awesome, great hosts, the yurts are cozy and the diving is awesom...

Jeff, Congrats on your compressor purchase. Since you have the means to buy your compressor I strongly recommend getting PSI certified. You can get more info here.www.psicylinders.com/. To many people truly don't know whats involved in cylinder inspection, and this class will answer all those tank q...

Re: Zeagle 911 BCD - Any good?
For me, I actually prefer the Zeagle Tech. I like the lift and know how to manage the air cell. I own a DR Transpac, Transplate and Hollis BP and wing, but my everyday BCD is the Tech. To me it's more comfortable, and to me thats everything.

I dive a Light and Motion Bluefin Pro with 2 Sola 1200 video lights. It has worked well for me and have been extremely happy with it. I have to +1 MZ's comments. The GoPros with the Flat Port with Video lights also produce nice video for the money.

Lights is always and will always be a source of debate. The thing to keep in mind is pick a light that suits your dive style, dive goals and budget. The other thing to note is that there is not a lot to compare to unless you've owned a few that you can personally compare. Light and Motion has a grea...

There are several solutions, many which have been said. Diving Concepts and Northern Diver will both work with Neoprene. With Diving Concepts, you have 2 choices, to add a second latex seal due to the neoprene stretching out, or to not use an inner seal at all. The Northern Diver Rings will also wor...

Georgia, I manage the Federal Way Underwater Sports. Do you ever get by there? If not, I could pick them up from your local dive shop if you put my name on them and let them know I am coming in. You could also drop them off at the MAST building with Russ or Mikiko if you are going to be back there a...
