Re: Drysuit found floating in Cove 2 (Alki) on 10/29
Perhaps someone had it hanging over a rail on a boat charter? We may consider calling the charters.

Georgia,
Any chance the ankle weights are black with non-adjustable clips with green/red paint pen marks on the buckles?

Re: Worthington hp 100 alloy problem
There is an issue with the galvanizing process in a certain batch of tanks,so I have heard by our repair manager. So far it has only happened to 3 of my customers who were rather happy with the arrangement, being that the hydro/vip was going to cost $35 and for $5 more they got a brand new pretty ta...

Re: Life of a Drysuit
Wow, so many of these comments are on point. I have owned 4 different suits over the course of 14 years of diving and thousands of dives. All of my suits had over 500 dives on them and were sold because they just didn't work for me or I lost weight. I have never replaced zippers thank goodness ($250...

Re: Found: Anyone lose a regulator?
Randy,
Our rental units have red hose protectors (some look dark orange) and should have matching numbers on the 2nd stage and consoles. I do have 3 checked out currently from last week. On yoke there may be a stamp. Either FS10 or FS2. Those are the ones "still out".

Re: dry suit valve problems
Since I am unaware of your background I will throw out a few ideas that should be checked, some basic some more technical. First, make sure the valve is open all of the way. Second if your valve is on the shoulder are you holding your arm straight? If so try bending your arm at the elbow as if you w...

Keith, We sell this too at UWS, and for less than that link. However, I know two people that have that camera and they are limited. They like them, but they are also starting to out grow it. They do not have white balance functions and there 1080 capability I question having shot HD video with my se...

Re: DONT DIVE STEILACOOM MARINA/SALTERS POINT
Its divable as of now. DB is correct...Slack is good. Last time we had divers there, they were greeted by law enforcement educating them that diving within the pilings was trespassing. So dive outside of the pilings.

Re: Visiting WA
Hi Ailema, My name is David and we have weekly shop dives out of the Federal Way Underwater Sports shop. We do not charge for the dive and offer reduced rentals for our shop dives. We also have a monthly dives scheduled with Bandito Charters. Obviously with your AOW certification you can dive most p...

Re: Closed on Sunday?
Just an FYI.. Although Underwater Sports Federal Way is closed on Sundays, our Lakewood store is open from 9-5. To accomodate our customers Mike and I flipped days closed, so as they are closed on Mondays, we are open. As long as we keep doing well this winter this won't change until we open back up...

Nitrox Rox
Definately not on your setup. It is setup for the average recreational diver using a pair of tanks (Twins would be two tanks). We figure if someone has 2 tanks and buys the annual card (2x$200.00=$400.00) and they dive 2 dives every other week (52 dives) they would be spending $7.70 a fill vs. $12-$...

Seth, Why yes it is a photo from that event. I had to try to find one since my weight loss. I really need my wife to take some new photos of me.. \:D/ As for your new suit, congrats goes out for taking the more "comfortable" approach to diving our waters, especially Mowich Lake. Was it the...

Nitrox Rox
I too, like a lot of you dive Nitrox each dive. As an instructor the difference for me is what I intend to do after a day of teaching. When I dive air during a class weekend, I am seriously ready for a nap. Last weekend we dove 3 dives on Saturday on 36% and still managed to go home, shower, go out ...
