Still a little cold for my new guys. Chuck, I HATE the pool! If I never had to do another pool dive as lo...

A bit of both, I won't take students out less than 36 degrees. I've done it many times and it's miserable and IMO dangerous. I've become more conservative with students as I get older. The water might be in the mid 30's but usually there is no place to hide from the cold on a surface interval. So, ...

Let us know when you are going to be here, and I'm quite sure that you'll have no lack of people offering to meet up and show you our local mudholes. How many days do you have? Do you have access to the Steve Fischnaller Shore Dives book? If you have a weekend or so, I'd recommend: Edmonds Underwater Park Keystone Sunrise Beach Park 3 of the better PNW sites. The first is easy breezy, the latter 2 are fairly straight forward if you have the book...

Salt/fresh water dive sites for a new NW diver?

Any dive locations for a visitor 'new' to this area to get their fins wet both in salt and fresh waters....something not overly complicated for a NW newbie-?

Could only probably spend 4-5 days diving and would be caring all my own gear minus any gas fills.

Thanks in advance.. :)

The reasons why they were probably doing this wasn't as a space but more to "in theory" maximize the economics. In the big scheme of thing, scrubber is cheap and trying to save $5.00 worth of scrubber can get you killed. It's cheaper than Nitrox. Dave You would think that they would reali...

Well I bet you can tell already I am not from the NW area. Brand new to this board, I am hoping that in hanging out I will gain some insights as to the dive opportunities that await the NW newbie visiting diver. Look forward to reading current and past post. Wishing each of you safe and fun diving!!
