Re: Diving and camping the 4th weekend.

Is anyone camping or diving the weekend of the 4th. I am thinking of coming up but I really want to dive two days. Gas is to dang expensive it's stupid to spend $100+ for just gas for one day of diving. Let me know. How about the Oregon coast!!! The water reports are predicting a calming trend thro...

OK, I finally have to make a decision........I've been VERY ill :vom: :vom: :vom: for the past 3 days. It's getting better, and even though I should be over it by the weekend, the looooooong drive added to the diving, etc., doesn't even sound like fun right now :crybaby: (I can't believe I just sai...

Re: Dare I say it? Is it time to plan another CLUB DIVE!?!?

The only problem with Sund Rock is a lack of facilities. If there's alot of us there, that could be more than a little inconvenient, to say the least. :pale: If we do end up there, maybe Georgia could bring her port-a-potty \:D/ There is a honey bucket at the parking lot. Kind of like a port-a-pott...

Re: Les Davis on Sunday 05/25

Gary (AB219) and I drove up from Portland and met Joe and Al at Les Davis. The vis looked terrible when we got there, so we ended up diving at Fox Island West Wall instead of Les Davis. Thanks Joe :hello2: (raptor) for having a plan "B" in mind! It was a very nice dive, with easy shore en...

Re: Memorial Weekend diving.

Monday would work me, as long as it wouldn't be too late (I have to drive back to Hermiston that evening). The reviews on the shore diving web-site are kind of old. The only thing I would worry about personally is whether there is much current. For Monday 5/26 a dive a the the Three Graces would be...

Re: Memorial Weekend diving.

Hey everyone. What dive plans do you have for the long Memorial Day weekend? Just about got the ScubaKat ready for another season and starting to get the need to dive. Ideas???? How about the south side of the south jetty at the Barview Jetty.... Ocean needs to lay down fairly flat for that dive. g

Re: Memorial Weekend diving.

I know acouple of folks who have dived this area before and might be willing to go. Unfortunately they are not NWDC members. Maybe AB219 would be willing to go..... I do know, just by looking at the sight, that if you got out in to the channel you would probably end up in the cove a little way down...

Re: Memorial Weekend diving.

Been there done that, Chumming all the way. It is one long boat ride from Tillamook and is no fun when the surge throws you against rocks at 50'. The bays are the only real half way safe places to dive on the Oregon Coast. The best time to dive the coast and the Barview Jetty is when the predicted ...

Hi all, I'm posting for the first time, but have been looking at your forum for awhile. California, that is. We may soon have an opportunity to do our next travel assignment there. From what I can gather, there are some nice dive sites within reach of the town, including at least one right in town. Has anybody been there, and if so, what can you tell me about the place? thanks!
