Club dive carpooling from Portland
I am going up to the club dive the 18th. I am looking for some divers that want to carpool up with me in my truck to cut costs. I have a extra cab pickup and have room for up to 3 other divers. If anyone wants to ride up with me and save some money let me know.

Re: From The Outside Looking In
Well I went the other way. Sold my racing dirt bike, my quad and my ski's have not seen snow for 3 years, my gun collection is half what it was and just locked away in the dark. Just to pay for the new ScubaCrack habit I have. Life is soooooooo good.

[quote=badd ass piece of work, i have wanted to make something like that for a while, what are you using for water lines for the sink? and drain[/quote] I just put a Y on my hose nib and ran a black underground sprinkler line along the edge of the house (above ground) to it. Re: DIY thread
It is always a hoot to see how creative divers are. Did we all grow up on Macgyver or just love to tinker. The garden gong/bell I hope to be done with by the end of the weekend. The hard part is finding stuff to recycle for the base.

Re: DIY thread
Here is a picture of my latest DIY project. I know it's not scuba but still cool. Made out of recycled parts except the stainless steel top. Next project is a garden Bell or Gong. Oregondiver gave me a old failed al80 and I already have it cut up and modified. Now I need to make a base and stand.

Re: Diving with Redundancy
For me I carry the following on every dive. It is easier for me to go through the exact same steps for every dive than try to decide what I want to carry on each dive and then make sure I have it on me and where I want it. I always put my spare gear in the same place so I can get it without looking ...

Re: Wreck of the Boss (from shore)
Nice video. Is that the wreck on the South side of Blake Harbor? If it is I never knew its name. I have dove it a bunch of times. In fact, there are two wrecks there. The Boss and a 40's Chris Craft cabin cruiser that sank and landed on top of it. It looks like at 1:50 you can see a few of its ribs.

Oh my God. I had almost forgot that walk of pain. I think I have done it 8 times from shore and 8 from boat. Guess which I do now?

I am so jealous of you divers that get the happy, three drink narced. Me I get the the "Freaking Willies", get me out of here narced. Pretty easy to notice, never a question.

Re: Complacency can hit us all, or why you shouldn't hurry
Thanks Lynne for the great post. It shows even the best and the most experienced can mess up. I have learned that if I get hurried then I will usually mess up and I just back off and take a few minutes. This was a great reminder for all of us.

If I recall, it is at the end of the Great Bend and very shallow forever. Last time I dove it I saw nothing but Moon Snails and mud "Forever". I think Potlatch is even better.

Re: Anyone ever dive in Brookings (southern) OR?
I have not dove there but did do a dive at Port Orford several years ago. Cool dive but a bitch to launch my Zodiac. You might try to find a copy of "Diver's Almanac" it list's two dive sites in Brookings. 1. Harris Beach, 2. Lone Ranch.
Hope this helps.
