Re: Viz Reports Thread

Re: Regulator Thoughts?
Thanks for the thoughts, everyone - I will ponder a bit more and keep reading reviews and anything I can find on the subject. I appreciate the thoughts also on cost/value. While I am not specifically looking to spend money, I am also not ever going to knowingly skimp on something vital like this. I'...

Re: Regulator Thoughts?
Why do I want to upgrade? The Oceanic 7 regulator has served me reasonably well over the last year, although it was absolutely not happy last December when it froze freeflowing open. Once it warmed up in the water at Redondo it did fine. I've had some issues with the console that came with it, but I...

Regulator Thoughts?
Hi Folks, I inherited my father in law's Oceanic Alpha 7 regulator set when I started diving last year. A year and lots of dives later I'm looking to upgrade and may as well do it before I need the old reg serviced so....I'm looking for opinions. I was certified 14 months ago and have completed 35-4...

Buddy for the weekend of September 10/11?
Hey Folks, New diver here and I'm itching to get in a couple of dives with my new dry suit before my AOW class the following weekend. Anyone interested in running over to Alki for a couple of dives on Saturday or Sunday? Or allowing a newbie to tag along? Anyone itching to show a new diver some cool...

Re: AOW
Indeed - per the thread from last year, it appears that both Peter and Bob have retired.

AOW
There are some threads on this below, but they may be a bit out of date. I'm looking to take an AOW class in the next month to 6 weeks once I've gotten my dry suit and gotten a bit used to it. Anyone have any good suggestions on instructors in Metro Seattle area? I'm more interested in actually lear...

Re: Caribbean Dive Resorts?
Hey everyone - thanks for the good thoughts!
The topside activities aren't critical - a beach, a change of scenery, maybe a restaurant or two would suffice. We just don't want to commit to 3 boat dives every day and want to be on land a bit to relax and kick back.

Caribbean Dive Resorts?
Hey Folks, My wife and I will be planning a dive trip some time in February likely to the Caribbean/Bahamas someplace. We've batted the idea of a liveaboard around, but would prefer some shore time this trip. Any good suggestions on dive resorts to check out or places to avoid? She's a 20+ year dive...

Hey folks
Newish Seattle diver here.... I did a few discovery dives in Maui a few years ago (Molokini, St Anthony's) and got my open water in February 2016. Since then I've been back to Maui, off Lanai, and gotten dry suit certified here this summer. As soon as my new dry suit arrives from USiA, I expect to s...
