Re: cave diving in Oregon
To me, it looked like a bunch of college certified divers that got lucky. Between the yokes, aluminum tanks, duel pink head lights strapped to the head, single tanks, kids helping to carry the kayaks. It don't look like military trained experts. I would have expected duel tanks, din valves, how abou...

Re: viking ring system for dry gloves. What kind of gloves to b
well, I used a pair of harbor freight sand blasting gloves today. No leaks. Went spear fishing. No leaks. I even cut them back so that they wouldn't be to long. They where awesome. They even have texture on them. Great for griping. $6 not bad. It's the same gloves that are sold up at Hood Sport and ...

Re: space Neptune full face mask
The mask size is MD/Lg.
I'm selling it due to low funds.
I use to work 50+ hours a week.
Now 30. I don't want to sell any of my other gear just this. I can always replace it.
There is nothing wrong with the mask. I will miss it.

Re: VR3 Color Trimix computer
I would jump on the X1 hands down if the battery wasn't an issue. But when the battery dies, there goes the $1800. It's a lot of money for a throw away dive computer. Now if the company gave a life time battery replacement like uwatech does for there computers, then I wouldn't have a problem. I love...

Re: Full Face and Radio
Just an opinion, I think that the OTS FFM has to much trapped air inside. Making the mask very boyant and it's going to make your neck sore after a while. And by reading what it says on the web sight, it looks like a copy of the ocean reef design as far as the double seal and head strap. It looks co...

Re: Full Face and Radio
My answer for Alex is take the com out when you go dive with your GF. Put it back in when you want to use it. At least the Space nepturne system allows you to do so. As far as for Captain Jack. If I remember corectly, the aquarium has different systems. And one of them is the Ocean reef Space neptur...

Re: Full Face and Radio
The trick to the com, is you have to turn your head to the side to talk so the bubles don't affect the signal. It's a neet little trick, but it works. Like I said before, all it takes is a little trainning from someone who knows what they are doing. Every body learns new tricks every day I still do....

Re: Full Face and Radio
I use a oceanreef full face mask. The space Neptune. I love it, and I find it awsome. better viz (wider). As far as people who don't like the full face mask, it's becasue: it doesn't fit them, THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE THEM, they didn't have the proper trainning. As far as the com system, you have ...

Re: Announcement: ADM purchases RebreatherWorld.com
I loved the Article on the B-29 since I plan on diving it soon. I have an advantage, my brother lives in Vegas. Gives me a reason to go visit him more often. $300 is a little spendi for one dive but it's the only way to dive it. Great magazine. I wish there was a little bit more on OC diving. :book:...

Re: Dry suits....
Here is my two cents: I boughta an anderson hyperstretch, the only way to go with a wet suit. And I own a DUI 450. I did my first 150 dives in a wet suit here in the cold lakes and ocean of Oregon. I have done 5 dives in Clear Lake in one day, in the winter with water around 39 degrees. Piece of cak...

Re: Gear to avoid?
The Question is not what gear brand to buy, it is how much do you want to spend. I spendt $1500 on a dive computer (Smart Tech by uwatec) I spent $1200 on an OMS Back plate BC system I spent $4,000 on a DUI custom Dry suit. And I have spent over $3000 on Scuba pro Regs, I have a lot of them (tech di...

Half and half vinegar and water. then soak and rinse dry suit. Dry for a few days. inside out first then the outside. then wax the zipper really good.
