Re: to bungee or not to bungee
Nothing wrong with asking questions and doing homework. I sat in on an Intro to Tech class and on a Tech 1 class before I had even gotten one dive in beyond my OW classes. I think it is a great way to see why some of he why's make sense down the road. Plus if anyone needs to know the equivalent narc...

Re: Dive reports are SOO much easier when you can dive: Cove 2
I am bouncing off the floor like a Spaulding in an NBA game so it is clear that one can do all the cyber diving in the world but it's going to take real diving to get good. We tried really hard to be aware of silting and to do our best not to make a mess of the cove but we failed miserably of cours...

Re: Best way to "shave" lead weights?
You know a portaband might actually be really good for this. I'd go for it if you have a course enough blade on it. Otherwise I'd pass. I've cut some lead on my bandsaw with an 18tpi blade but it loaded up quite a bit. Wire brushing the lead out of the teeth afterward was tedious. oh buddy i get fr...

Cove 2: A comedy in two acts.....
So we made an attempt on Cove 2 again (Act 2?), and again it was a test of our patience. This time there was three of us, my whole OW class. Sean, Eric, and I decided to dive today and although I was a bit unsure of how smooth it COULD go when you throw three wreck divers in together (mind you I don...

Seems like whatever method you chose a little propane torch if not an oxy weld would make it smoother.

welcome paulicarp, congrats on the pending certification. I am a pretty new diver myself, and the folks on this site have been a tremendous help to me, both on the site and in person. I am a member of easily a half dozen scuba boarrds but IMHO it is all about NWDiveclub. I like that it is local so t...

Men who have long trunks with well developed chests and loins generally make good divers

A few thoughts.... First, cool picture. Second, I am now off on THURSDAYS and Fridays. Secondly, in my mind Bassman you look exactly like your avy. Lastly the "Those aren't worms" quote made me laugh outloud when I first saw it in the original thread, and I still giggle like a little girl ...

I can't make it, I got a crap job BUT my job does have tables and folding chairs so if someone were willing to cart them off in a truck AND return them to Seattle I could provide as many as would be needed.

Joe, while as per the norm I have nothing of much value to offer (surprise surprise). I just watched Matthews copy of Sharkwater, and it had some cool footage of a Whale Shark, and divers with a whale. I am pumped FOR you, would be sooo cool to get to dive with the likes of those creatures. You will...

I have a new keg system in my garage... and last night our own Brewer gave me a little gift. Dude, not cool! Don't make it sound dirty! I'm not Joe.... It was little, but it wasn't THAT little. I even watched, and didn't feel the littlest bit uncomfortable until Doug showed his "gift" to ...

Maybe posting an inventory of sizes available would help Calvin get rid of them?
Norris I presume you are kidding about Calvin, if not look at the bottom of NWDC. It is his site.

i am in the parking lot across the street from Mukilteo City Hall and thought I would chime in with a SHORT update. Re: Ever got caught doing the Scuba shimmy on Goose Poo Hill?
Pretty much every minute I have spent trying to dive is the most pathetic I have been since starting to dive. Really what I hope is that I see improvement in the near future.
Thanks guys for sharing.
