I don't think that was ink. Looked too gray to be Octo ink. Maybe he found something under that rock and dragged it out by force. :burntchef:

Re: The Hooded Nudibranchs are out at Edmonds!

Yeah they've shown up everywhere. We found several up at Keystone last week. And just yesterday dad and I went out to TTN and found a bunch. Found one with a bunch of spots. IMG_1425.JPG I heard there was some discussion about what those spots might be. Call me kooky, but those spots on this Lion lo...

A few finds from Whidbey

Went diving at the Jetty on Whidbey the other day and found some awesome stuffs. There are a few things I can't ID and I was hoping some of the peoples here could help me out? There was a bunch of this stuff all up and down the Jetty at various depths. They reminded me of the Fringed Filament Worm, ...

Re: Lil questions about some lil guys

Yes I was asking about the lil Amphipod. Kinda hard not to recognize an Opalescent in the PNW lol. So how could you tell what the crab was under all those Zoanthids, Greg? I could barely see its eyes.

Lil questions about some lil guys

Found a couple lil guys on a couple separate dives. This first one was found a while back, I think at Alki 2. It was really small, probably about as big as my thumbnail if that. http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h65/chenari/Scuba%20Diving%20pics/IMG_1010.jpg This guy was found at Day Island Wall a f...

Re: How to breathe like an Octo

I agree with Airsix, that is an AWESOME shot. Unfortunately, our breathing Octos aren't the same. We found this guy at Day Island Wall a couple days ago. One of THREE there. The first was also out in the open, but I didn't get a good picture of him, as he took off when I got there.

Amazing pics as always, Dusty. We gotta get back up that way sometime.

BTW, did you notice the little clown to the left of the GPO? It's in the little circle he's making with his tentacle.

Awesome. I can see most of the features in Columbiana and I understand why I couldn't ID it. Any idea on the other one, Dusty-man?

Is that what this lil guy is? I found it actually embedded about halfway in a good sized Egg Yolk today. It was about as big as my thumbnail.

Nudibranchs!!!!

Heylo all, I'm hopping back on the Critter board for the first time in a while with the first, second, and third new Nudibranch in a while. I actually captured two of them in the same picture, not even noticing the one on the left when I took the picture lol. Not sure if that actually counts as new,...

Re: Worst diving movies you've seen

Can we get back to the question that started the thread please? Can anyone name any utterly awful movies that focus on SCUBA Diving? And I don't mean just a couple scenes where people put gear on to do one thing, I mean like SCUBA through the entire movie, like Into The Blue and The Deep. But awful.

Re: Worst diving movies you've seen

Of course if it was supposed to be set in the south pacific they do have those box jellies that kill people on a regular basis... even through skins and wetsuits. It's a big enough problem on the great barrier reef that they net off public beaches for swimming. My point exactly. There are many more...

Re: Worst diving movies you've seen

I watched Open Water for the sake of writing the script for my review. I remembered it being awful, but I didn't remember just how awful. Let's just say that this movie pissed me off to no end, and it takes a LOT for a movie to do that to me. Let me break the movie down for you: 75% boring conversat...

Re: Worst diving movies you've seen

Hmm maybe. I saw some divers in there. Have you actually seen it, Elise? I made it through about....half. When the piranhas reached the size of Volkswagens and started leaping from the water and exploding when they hit buildings I fell asleep, but my friend tells me there was additional diving. And...

Re: Worst diving movies you've seen

Yeah like Dwashbur said, we actually like Into the Blue and Fool's Gold. Thanks for the list, Sockmonkey. I'll take a look. Any more ideas? Remember, I want something involving actual SCUBA diving. Like what we do. No Submarines or just swimming. I want full on gear, fins, tank, regs, all of it.

Re: Worst diving movies you've seen

No, I considered it, but OW2 doesn't actually have ANY diving. It's basically a bunch of morons who go out on a yacht, jump into the water, and realize they forgot to put the ladder down. So they're floating next to the boat with a baby alone on board and no way to get back in. No, that will be save...

Worst diving movies you've seen

Hey I'm in need of help from my fellow Divers. I want to do three reviews of three awful diving movies. I have Open Water and The Cave, of course, but I'm having trouble finding a third movie that actually involves SCUBA diving as a main part of the plot. All of the more recent movies I find are all...
