His son was transported to Harborview yeasterday with a badly broken leg and damaged liver. Dylan's mom flew down with him from Sitka. Dave and his girlfriend are flying to Seattle Friday mo...

Temple Run has burned many hours for me. I play it on the plane and my flight time seams much faster.

Re: WTB 130s

I know someone with a couple of welding tanks that are 330s with wheels to help support them. He has trouble with shore dives but when he used the boat ramp and sits on his tail gate a friend can back him in the water. He had trouble with his BC so he modified his kids pool toy for extra lift. Try t...

Bob,

This would not be my first choice for diving in that area. Are you going on a charter or private boat?

Re: Lummi Rocks?

Bob, I have done Lummi rocks over the years and usually dive the north side closest to Lummi. This dive can be current sensitive and you should have someone on the boat. The area I dive is a wall that levels out around 80 feet.

Re: Titan Missile Silo

Good report. I had the same opinion when I went about 10 years ago. A dive to say I did it, but a weekend of diving from a charter boat is where I would spend my money. Glad I went, would not go back even for a freebie.

Re: Dateline NBC , diver kills wife

I think there is some truth being withheld by the husband. Guilty is my conclusion based on how the story is presented by NBC. What bothers me is the eye witness who says he watched the wife fall away almost motionless to the bottom and the husband swim up for help and the witness did nothing? Where...

Re: Maritime Documentation society (MDS) Dives missile Silo

Great Video. Your video portrayed a more exciting dive than I remembered it when I dove it many years ago. Glad I did the dive, but would not pay to do it again. I came away with the same cautions and concerns for equipment / gear wear and tear. It looks the same as when I dove it probably ten years...

Re: FYI, Big Island Nov 25th - Dec 12th

When you get to Kona you can go to Jack's Dive Locker and request some shore dive maps. They gave me enough to keep me busy diving for a week. Trade winds pick up in the afternoon so best shore dives are usually early mornings. Wind is blowing good this afternoon. Had a great time without a tank thi...

Re: FYI, Big Island Nov 25th - Dec 12th

I am on the beach in Kona as I type. Having a great week of fun and sun. You can suarch for Big Island post from the past. I do most of my shore diving up north of Kona at Pauako Bay (SP?) Only doing snorkeling this trip. Two step is also a good dive. We did a boat trip down to turtle rock 20 - 25 m...

Glad you had a great time. I will be flying over there next Saturday. I will most likely not go diving this trip but plan on doing some snorkeling every day with my non diving friends. We are staying in Kona in a house on the beach.

Hawaii Vacation

Air fare is very low right now. I have a two bedroom time share on the Big Island that I will not use this year. Date is open and will depend on availability. The location is Paniolo Greens located north of the airport. A 20 minute drive to Pauko Bay for great diving. PM me if you are interested. I'...

Here is a shot I took the first day. I also like the fact that the camera has a separate video button so I can jump from still shots to video and back again with a push of a button.

Re: Do you use a Panasonic Lumix?

I just purchased the Canon SD4500 IS. It has some cool options like burst photo, slow motion video, and has a true HD 1080 video, and 10X optical zoom. I hope they come out with a housing soon. The only concern I have now is the battery life. The battery is half the size of my G10.

Re: Seafood recipe thread.

This is a must have with fresh salmon. Place salmon fillet skin side down on a water soaked cedar plank. Spread blue cheese salad dressing over top with spoon for a nice heavy base. Cook with lid down until salmon is half cooked. Crumble fresh blue cheese over the top for the last 10 - 15 minutes al...
