Re: Diving Today (7-19)
I have an unusual day off today - have a couple things to work out, but will likely be free for a 4:30-5:00 splash. Have only been to Redondo once. Mind if I tag along for the first dive?

I might be able to work in a dive tomorrow afternoon. Tides look bad in the AM. Early PM, say 1:00 - 2:00 a possibility? I am in N Seattle - Three Tree N?

Re: How many of you would participate in ongoing cleanups?
I am an environmental engineer and am involved in cleanup of uplands contaminated sites. I also work with people involved with aquatic habitat restoration and contaminated sediment cleanup. Should be able to establish contacts with fisheries agencies and the Dept. of Ecology. I think GD is right in ...

Re: holy cow 500$ edge canister light 1200 lumens????
My friend and I each bought one of these. Compared to what else is out there, at this price it seemed worth trying. We took it on the dives in Cozumel Jacob wrote about above. Only have used it on 2 dives so far, both in clear warm water. The light is very white. There is a nice, intense center beam...

Marzz -
It is Thursday and I don't have a buddy yet for this weekend. I could dive with you Saturday. Want to do a mid AM dive at Muk? Have only been to Mexico diving, so can't help with the Philippines.

Re: Gray Whale at Alki Pipeline
We were in about 35 ft of water when we saw the whale. It was about 100 ft the pipeline outlet, heading toward shore. For those (and I am sure they are few) doubters, there was a team of divers from the Seattle fire department at the site, and 2 of their divers came out of the water about 5 min. aft...

Gray Whale at Alki Pipeline
Did a dive at the Alki Pipeline Saturday, Jan. 11. Went out a little beyond the end of the pipeline and then turned around to head back. We were in about 30-40 ft of water with 15 ft visibility. Noticed some motion to my left and saw a the head of a gray approaching. It swam right in front of us - t...

Hi All - New to NWDC
I'm new to the club and new to diving. Took my OW on Sept. 1 and immediately went on to AOW. I've been collecting gear since and am looking forward to doing some diving. Are you ever done collecting gear?
