Re: What is this?
I looked through all my books and couldn't find anything, even looked up stargazer on the internet - didn't find anything that looked like that locally so was hoping one of our local experts might have something on this one. Unfortunately if you don't have an answer that makes one less expert! :notw...

What is this?
During the safety stop just up from the big pipe this morning at Redondo, we came across this fish - the closest thing I've seen to this crazy looking critter is a stargazer from the South Pacific. This first photo is from the Philippines last year: PIMG_1520.JPG This next series include the one we ...

Big Thanks to Josh at Steve's Scuba!!
Drove all the way down to Redondo to do a couple of dives with the six gill - Got geared up in the afternoon heat, finally getting into the water to cool off, only to discover my second stage had a steady bubbling. There was no way to stop the flow without getting out of the water into the heat agai...

Re: Mukilteo Last Night
That's funny that you found some too. I literally could not see what Larry was looking at until they moved and even then could only tell that it was some type of tiny fish! Until we looked at the photos, I thought he'd found lumpsuckers. Last night we went out again but didn't spend much time in the...

Mukilteo Last Night
Dropped in 35', starting checking things out. Found a baby snailfish right off. At first we thought it was a PSL (until later when we looked at the pics). While we were trying to get shots, a juv. wolfeel joined us, swimming around and under Larry. Went about the dive, found the little red on eggs a...

More CONGRATULATIONS in Order
We saw Laura J. on the news last night - apparently she's been removing car batteries from the waters in Puget Sound (I think 22 is the total?). We only caught the tail-end of the news item but what a nasty, tough, wonderful, green job she's doing. She certainly deserves a huge congratulations for t...

Larry has an Apollo drysuit that is in great shape although it might need new seals . He'd like to get $200 for it or best offer. PM me if interested.

Re: Sunday at Mukilteo
Don't know if it would have made a difference but only 2 of the octopus we found on that dive were bigger than a golf ball - the GPO in the geo dome and another softball size GPO down in the rubble field. Larry's the one that typically finds all the critters; I just follow along trying to get photos...
