Re: Good talk coming up

Mark's a very engaging speaker and he's been involved in some serious cave exploration for many years... which means he has a great deal of interesting stories and anecdotes to share. We're fortunate that he has family living locally so that he can swing by every so often to teach and to share cool ...

Re: i saw Boydski on tv!

For me the funniest part of that show is that there are six or seven people (including Laurynn/Seainggreen) hiding on the floor of the cabin so they are "out of sight" of the cameras. It might look like it was just Don and I diving with Laurynn, but there were a whole lot of warm bodies (...

Just a few highlights from a dive trip I took down to the Channel Islands. Looking forward to returning sooner rather than later! :)

Happy diving,

Re: Octopus Wolf-Eel Rodeo at Day Island Wall

My first thought when I saw this was of the tentacles hanging out of the lingcod mouth in Jan's posting. I go along with John Rawlings. That octo better hang on. -Curt Yeah....it's clear that the wolf-eel is trying to "scrape" the octopus off by turning on its side and sliding along rocks...

Octopus Wolf-Eel Rodeo at Day Island Wall

Just over a month ago a great group of tech diving gals got together for a banner weekend of diving. During one of our dives out at Day Island, we came across something I'd never seen before, and that I may very well never see again. I managed to capture it on film to share. Enjoy! :) [youtube]http:...

Another option is every Wednesday at Cove 2 in West Seattle. Folks usually start showing up around 6:30, sometimes there is an earlier dive option. C'mon down. They are meeting this Weds!

Re: DUI Dog Days tickets?

You can indeed buy tickets on the day of the event at the event itself!

Sounds like there will be a good turnout this year. Hope you have fun. It's a great way to access just about any combination of drysuit and undergarment to find the "perfect combination" for you.

Enjoy!

My husband and I would be game for a day at the range or for paintball.

Yes, girls can like guns too. :)

Generally early evenings or weekends work well. Labor day weekend is flat out as is the weekend after, otherwise Rob and I are pretty flexible!

Rob and Danny enjoyed their dive at Keystone on Sunday. Thanks, Bob, for encouraging them to head up there. :) What a beautiful day to dive the jetty!

Thanks for the props BJ, Josh, and Doug... that means a lot to me. :) I dunno what number female I am to dive the Governor, I just know it's been a precious few women who attempted it at all, and still fewer who have managed to be successful in their attempt and do a full dive on it, and fewer still...

Laurynn Congrats on your first Gov dives. Over the years it has come to be one my favorites. Everytime I think I have it figured out it reveals a little more as if just to remind me that I don't. So what's next on your list? Sampson? Bunker Hill? BJ & I got real lucky with our find. I had been ...

Congrats to the fellas for finding the bell! Dan, how about sharing a screen grab so we all get a look-see? :) As my team began our drifting ascent on Sunday, we went right over the other teams. And the green types say wreck don't make good reefs! Good grief, look at all those critters! I could not get over the life on these boats. Tons of anemones. Fish EVERYWHERE. And some big critters lurking about too... I didn't shoot on our second day as we did quite a bit of penetration (fun!) but I...

Laurynn: Thanks for reminding me how great it is to dive Nanaimo. I will be sailing up there soon and hope to stay there a few days for some diving. Nanaimo Wreckfestin' Weekend

A coupla weeks back several Seattle folks went up to Nanaimo, where they joined up with some BC folks to have a fun-filled weekend diving the Cape Breton and Saskatchewan. We also had a third day of diving up there doing the beautiful cloud-sponge walls near Victoria. I only shot on our first day of...

The cavern was pretty large - two 18-wheelers side-by-side would easily fit, maybe 3 (Ben?). The walls were covered with life, the structure was very cool, and about 150'-200' (Ben?) in we blacked-out to look at the entrance which looked like a small glowing emerald in the distance. You're putting ...
