Re: Browning Pass - a trip of absolute beauty & total disast

kathy that makes more sense. i know i missed the first night dive (seven tree), then was too tired for second one (which everyone said sucked anyway) but thought i hit the third and fourth night dives. if there wasnt one on sunday that would shift the schedule to match what i was sort of thinking

MY FIRST DIVE TRIP!! (Browning Pass!)

Reflections on my First Dive Trip So this week I spent at browning pass, up on the northern coast of Vancouver Island, with ten other divers sharing the adventure. This was my first time to drive around in Canada, although I’ve been there several times. Early last Saturday I got up and headed north....

A Fresh Look at Langley

Sunday afternoon I talked Ann into coming up from Seattle, and David into coming down from Bellingham. It was a first time at Langley for both of them. After a quick site brief, David went with Karl and headed off to the reef proper. I mentioned to Ann that the wall can also be a fun place to check ...

My secondary strobe worked, but the battery case had its little tags broken, so any bumps or a stiff breeze can knock the batteries out of the case...

As a practicing archaeologist with an interest in the maritime history of Townsend Bay and other coastal areas along Puget Sound I have been following this thread and I can honestly say that I've had serious reservations about posting a response. There are very few professional archaeologists or go...

interesting about the pigeon guillemot eating grunties. the old pilings at keystone are a haven for guillemot but the only grunt i've seen in the area is the one ann found the other week

Finally, I saw a lumpsucker at the same time that I had a camera with me. My buddy Phil called this morning and suggested we hit up Keystone. I told him in hushed tones of the fabled creature rumoured to live in these waters, but could not promise we'd find a one. Well, we did indeed find one, which...
