Thursday Night Diving 6/23

Hi. Jess and I won't likely make this Thursday Night's Dive as our regs are in service. Feel free to plan any dives without us! There have been reports of better redondo viz coming in on https://pnwdiving.com (thanks for your reports!)

One good Shaw dive is Broken Point. I've been curious to know if it is doable with scooters, you may want to check that out!

Re: Diver missing at Mukilteo Lighthouse park

Oh no! Hope they're ok!

That's a confusing chart. I think the green is what you want to read? I don't know muk too well, nor the station used on that chart, but that doesn't look too terrible given it would be more protected on an ebb?

Re: Planyourdive Replacement for current predictions

Hi Check out pnwdiving.com. It doesn't list every site but it does list the top current sensitive sites. Near the bottom of the homepage there's a section called premier site planning. It lists which of the top sites (keystone, day island etc) you can dive for a given day and at what time. Click on ...

Debris dumping at Redondo

Hi! I don't know if you guys have all noticed that there's been lots of debris dumped off the Redondo boat ramp in the last several years and it's gotten quite bad lately. Scrap wood, bark and other yard waste has now covered much of our beloved bottle field. It's quite ugly and the creatures don't ...

Re: Hello world! Looking for instruction recs

Hi
Welcome!

I don't know the active instructors too well these days. So all I can say is take a class with a dry suit option and the more dives in the class (not a rush off to tropical dive) the better.

Have fun!

Very cool! My favorite way to find drysuit leaks is to shine a light from the inside of my suit and see if I see light shining through :) It often works!
