Re: New Diver in Kitsap!
Welcome Dan! You might soon find out that diving our NW waters is pretty good all year round, especially if you dive a drysuit. Water temps don't change that much, and winter vis is usually much better than in summer. Make sure to check out the dive planning section, as there's lots of opportunities...

Re: Fix green with Lightroom?
Tried a couple of tweaks in Lightroom to your original pic: lightroom edit.jpg Couldn't get that using an "auto" correct button. You have to enhance/reduce individual colors/tints/etc. The strobe recommendation is a good one. Really helps to capture the vibrant colors that otherwise get wa...

Had to scale back the operation. Excessive demand for refunds and escalating overhead expenses (aka: bribery) were hurting the bottom line. It was okay when I could negotiate with them individually, but then they threatened to form a union...

Plano Sportsman's Trunk. I used the 108qt sized one for several years. Great size for dive gear (longer fins fit inside it), has a lid AND wheels!: 108qt trunk.jpg https://www.amazon.com/Plano-Heavy-Duty-Sportsmans-Trunk-Grey/dp/B017N98OGC/ref=pd_sim_200_3?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B017N98OGC&p...

Re: Dry glove system on neoprene wrist seals?
Looks like the "latex overseal" is just a latex seal glued to the outside of the neoprene sleeve. Here's a video that kind of shows it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnnXTjxfY_c&index=9&list=PLmEW0XcNu8SP7mr-qBIwAEmkWQ3wdu5RE I used the Sitech ring system on a Seasoft dry suit th...

Re: wetsuit adjustments
You might try to stretch it out a bit before cutting it. A trick to stretch out neoprene dry suit neck seals is to insert a scuba tank and let it sit for awhile.

Re: Tzip issues On Bare Drysuits
I had a tizip installed in a DUI TLS suit awhile back, and had also water coming thru the teeth: https://nwdiveclub.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=20797&p=237603&hilit=tizip#p237603 You did a much better job pursuing a resolution. I ended up putting the suit in my dive locker and moved on to a ...

Re: Light feet
I have Atomic Split fins and am currently wearing 2x2lbs of ankle weights. For most of the dive, everything seems fine, but at the end of the dive my feet seem light. I used to have a steel HP120 (the tall skinny 3500psi one with the 7/8" neck made by PST) that would do the same thing. My trim...

Re: Okay those with long hair... What do you do with it?
You didn't mention whether you're using a drysuit hood or a wetsuit hood (with the longer neck flange). If a drysuit hood, have you tried using one with a zipper? I can't recall seeing a zipping in a wetsuit hood... A trick several of the ladies at our shop used was to apply hair conditioner to thei...

Will do. Need to dive a few more times in the next couple weeks so I can prepare for the blackwater dive in Kona. Macro+Lighting game needs to be strong for that dive. I'd recommend practicing shooting jellies (or other small flittery critters like winged slugs) at night in the water column. That, ...
