Re: Keystone Jetty Tonight 700pm?
i ended up moving us down the strand to driftwood, and, other than me getting us slightly lost in a wasteland of mud and clamshells, we had a very nice dive.

Re: New to the board! and diving!
Greg, i saw your thread on the dive buddy board, and, while i don't get down to california, north or otherwise, very often, I'd be glad to extend a hearty welcome to these boards, and the standing invitation that if you find yourself on Whidbey Island I'll show you around I understand completely you...

DUI Dog Days tickets?
My local shop didn't get any tickets/info on the dog days this year. I know there are several places along the I-5 corridor one can purchase them, however, can one seek entrance on the Saturday morning of the event? Registration begins at 9 am, and everywhere between me and Les Davis, I suspect, wil...

Re: Showing off Driftwood
They weren't too bad. I didnt see any lines at all while underwater, although a couple of the boats out trawling sure sounded close. There may have been comments made, but I couldn't hear them with the hood on.philmatt wrote:Nice dive, are the folks fishing friendly or do they cast buzz bombs at you

Showing off Driftwood
Matteo834092148 got in touch with me, and suggested that since he would be in the area Saturday, I could maybe show him Driftwood. He's done Keystone several times, but never Driftwood. I eagerly jumped on the opportunity and we met up right around low tide. There were probably eight or nine fisherm...

That vicious water tried to kill me!
Yesterday I called the shop to check in with Paul whether he was going diving in the morning, and whether I might tag along. Not only did he have plans, but as I called, Karl walked into the shop after a two month absence! Great timing! We all made plans to meet at Deception Pass State Park to catch...

Re: What cylinder do you dive, and why?
I generally agree with you about the 2400=low 3000=mid 3400=high pressure designations, which is, of course, rather arbitrarily assigned. The steel 95s I dive are the mid pressure ones that are indeed thirty years old. (Ross, I haven't dove a low pressure when with you.) 2011_08010042 (Medium).JPG 2...

Re: What cylinder do you dive, and why?
I still don't own my own tanks, but I regularly dive the shop's mid-pressure 95s. Has the same profile as a steel 72, but with (obviously) more air. A few times I've had the privilege of diving Karl's 119s, and I really like the way it trims on me. If I ever take the step of owning my own tanks, I'd...
