In Memoriam: Lynne

Post by Jan K »

Very sad anniversary.
First message reaching the diving community one year ago:
" Today, Aug. 25, 2015, while on a dive with me, her husband, Lynne failed to surface. "

Lynne, we miss you ....

It's hard to believe it's been a year. I miss her.

Never forgotten.

Sadly, on the one-year anniversary of her passing, I received word this morning of another friend of both hers and mine ... Marc Hall ... passing away.

Oddly, she has been on my mind the last few days, now I know why. I only had the privilege of quasi diving with her once and spoke to her briefly. Yet in that short amount of time her spirit and love of diving was apparent to me.

I think of Lynne often, one of the nicest people in our community. RIP.

Last night at our post dive meet up the Thursday Crew took a minute and toasted her memory. She had an impact on everyone who knew her, and she is missed.
Thank you Jan for that awesome tribute.

Jan -- I saw this on Scubaboard's "Passings" thread (Note -- I can't believe there have been over 80,000 views and it is still, 13 months later, getting new posts).

Could I have a copy of it to print out and frame?

Thank you so much.

It has been a very hard, strange and lonely year.

I did not know Lynne very well but in the few times that I had the chance to talk to her she was very nice. I enjoyed talking with her those few times and for not knowing her very well I find myself missing her also and think of her often. My condolences go to Peter and their family. May you rest in peace Lynne.
