Combined Sewage Outflow Data

Post by johndo88 »

<WARNING> Hit your back button now if it's near dinner time. You have been warned. :)

So you want to know if diving Cove 1 is a good idea but you're concerned about whether or not if there is any flow out of their sewage outflow pipes. You can now view real-time flow data (King County's words, not mine) for their combined sewage outflow (CSO) locations at:

http://www.kingcounty.gov/environment/w ... rview.aspx

Cheers,

The pipe in cove1 is a city storm sewer, it used to be a CSO but doesn't overflow anymore. aka its "controlled" In theory it could overflow, its not like its physically impossible. The control structure maintaining sanitary from storm separation is on the other side of harbor ave. Its entirely underground.

Not that stormwater doesn't have tons of bacteria and viruses in it as well, mostly from dogs, cats, pigeons, seagulls, racooons and rats.
