My car got totally sprayed with salt water

Did any one dive today?

ScubaJess and I went out optimistically looking for a place to dive today, despite the wind forecast. I guess the forecast was right as it was super windy and wavy out there!! It was quite impressive and beautiful to see the waves crashing up to 20-25 feet in the air over the Alki sea wall. The high tide made conditions prime for this unusual sight. Further beautifying the scene were a thin blanket of snow, blue skies, a gorgeous view of the Olympics and sunshine!

No diving was to be had.

My car got totally sprayed by salt water, I had to stop at the carwash on the way home.

I think scubajess got some pics and vid, maybe she'll post 'em.

We were supposed to head out and dive the Shilshole barges.......

We ended up diving the Corsair in Lake Washington. Nothing really exciting to report - vis was actually pretty decent at 10 - 15 foot and I saw a crayfish the size of a small lobster.

Just for future reference - 2/3rds of the line out to the plane is gone.

It was hard to photo the waves at full height, especially with the full mem card. Here's a pic from a couple years ago that shows a similar height to what we saw today

Unusual to see that kind of surf on a north facing wall!

That's what I hear!! It was really cool to watch! North wind is the cold stuff!

I dove at Cove2 today and the beach was a crazy from the storm and the viz above 30 feet is almost zero! I hope the lumpies at Redondo are ok!!

Also I love my Dusty's light!!!
