Deception Pass is the only place on Whidbey where I find Glove sponges.

After laying eggs, this Monterey dorid blindly walks into reach of another blind creature and gets eaten :(

I visited Skyline Wall as the tide and current cycle again provide friendlier environment.

The Orange Feather Duster Worms is seldom orange, at least at Keystone the prevailing color is red.
At least from my experience. Maybe the orange ones hide from me when they sense my approach ... :)

Saturday was not all that cheerful above the water, but once we got under, the colors are still there. Just bring some lights,
for the heavy overcast above and plenty of silt in the water makes it look dark. Diving with my daughter is always fun,
for once I can include a diver in the scene ... :)

Hi Jan,
Lovely detailed images as always - congratulations!
Pardon my ignorance but, in the upper photo of the red rock crab panel, what is the crab walking across?
Curiously yours,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Thanks, glad you enjoy the panels, the crabs are nestled over cluster of Ostrich-plume hydroids ( Aglaophenia spp.). I think :)

Few more from the Deception Pass under the sea gardens. Except the one of flatfish lure, which was hanging off the clay wall at Possession Point Fingers, the other end of Whidbey Island.
BTW, watch out for the fishing lines connected to the lost lures and not necessary connected to the fishing rod above ...

Fun shots as usual!
You've probably mentioned this before, but where is this anchor?
