Please help ID orange siphon bivalve

Post by morayeel »

I took this photo at Watermans wall at 37 ft deep yesterday. (Thank you Captain Jack to take me there for searching my lost light.) The size of siphon is about 1.5 inch. I wonder if it is rock entodesma, aka Northwest ugly clam. I usually don't see this type of siphon around Redondo or Three Tree Point and want to know what it is. :) Is anyone have any ideas?

My guess it is the Rock Entodesma aka Northwest Ugly Clam ( Entodesma navicula ).

I take photos because I like it, not because I'm good at it. :) by Unknown
