Keystone Jetty Butterfly Crab

Post by dphershman »

Mark and I went to Keystone Jetty on monday to take advantage of good currents, sunny weather and a long weekend. We were hoping to find one of the King Crabs spotted there. Didn't find them, but I did run across this brightly colored Butterfly Crab sitting on one of the rocks.

We also spotted all three 'lemon' nudibranchs.... Heath's (albeit a bit white here)

and Monterey :)

Our second dive was at the pilings, and we spotted the larger of the two wolf eels that JanK spotted.

Nice! I was there on Saturday and didn't find any PSKC's either ... nor did I find the wolfies in the pilings. I did have two awesome dives, however ...

Try PT. They are tough to see but they are there. So are the butterflies and the hearts, and the golf ball crabs! :neener:
