Invert ID

Any ideas on the identity of this critter? I found it Saturday while dive off the Lu-Jack's in the San Juans...

Greetings,

The orange thing is a Broad-Base sea squirt (Cnemidocarpa finmarkiensis)
The thing on top of it sort of looks like a not quite intact amphipod molt; no clue as to species. Was it moving at all?

Conjecturally yours,
Alex

Thanks for the info. It didn't appear to move, but I didn't hang around long to watch...

It's a deep blade shrimp (Spirontocaris prionota). Has its tail tucked underneath, which is a very common posture for this species.
