Pac NW underwater nature carvings 4 Halloween

Within last year I have completed more than 125 dives, each with average duration 63 minutes and 99% of them with the camera. I have taken over 21 thousands of underwater pictures of Puget Sound and Lake Washington and when you spend that much time underwater and shoot that many you start seeing things.
:smt119 :der:
No, no I do not mean you are getting narked (narcosis) and start seeing things in your head only.
Pictures are the proof that either my camera is also getting narked or we both see the same thing.

As it is Halloween today it is time to bring those Underwater Magical Nature Carvings to a wider audience.

Key Stone Jetty Green Eye Monster:

Many divers know that Keystone Jetty has a Mermaid. I have personally collected many pictures, even as she moved (or was moved) from the den to more open area and is now covered with barnacles & snails.

See the picture.

Make sure you click on each picture once to enlarge and second time for max resolution.

But how many people noticed Green Eye Monster hiding in the Jetty ?

For those who have their eyes open the Edmonds Serpent can reveal itself.

Lake Washington Monster:

When you leave the Puget Sound salty water you think that you are away from Monsters ?
Think again, as Lake Washington has its own secrets.

Disclosures:

- No Monsters have been harmed nor bothered during the photo shoot.
- All pictures have been posted directly as they were captured.
- No photoshop, no modification, even no color nor brightness nor backscatter adjustment was made.
- Only picture size trimming was made for Zoom in pictures where marked.

I will post some additional pictures soon.

Pac NW underwater nature carvings 4 Halloween - part 2

What is the story about pumpkins & Plumose Anemones ?:

OK, the story goes like this. There are many accounts where human behaviors is impacting and altering Animal & Plant Kingdom behaviour. For example some birds in the forest have learned from us humans the sound of the chainsaw and now instead of the beautiful song you hear the bird singing "the chainsaw" sound.
Here you go all you Divers who have been tirelessly trying to carve pumpkins underwater.
Orange/ brown Plumose Anemones decided to mimic pumpkins and this is happening not only on Halloween but pretty much as a round year events.
You want a proof ?
Here you go.
Make sure you click on each picture once to enlarge and second time for max resolution.

Plumose Anemone cannibalizing several or just mimicking unruly diver hair style ?:

I remember Jan K was documenting in "Whidbey Island Critters" Plumose Anemone with two heads.
This seem to have multiple. Or maybe imitating multi head dragon ?

Who is the candidate for the best Halloween costume ?:

From all my candidates it must be a Scally Lithodid or also known as Scally Crab. Jan K was describing him in "Whidbey Island Critters" as a type of a King Crab.

I think you should have enough entertainment for Halloween, at least from me.

Anybody else wants to add any Underwater Monsters for Halloween ?

Feel free to add in your response.

Happy Halloween Friends in Scuba Diving passion !

Fun pictures and happy Halloween!

But seriously dude, between the underwater monsters and special ops sea lions you may want to consider adding a bit of helium in your mix. :)
