Port Hardy Trip Pics
Hey Guys,
Just got back from Port Hardy late last night. All I can say is "Wow"! We've been lucky to dive some amazing places, but Port Hardy is easily right at the top of our short list.
Had a bunch of video problems and ended up having to shoot on HDV mostly  .... will get that up soon.
Till then, enjoy some stills that my wife took. You can see the rest here...http://www.flickr.com/photos/fragilesea ... 421364538/

Stellar photos
I especially like the GPO shot -- just awesome.
What rig does your wife shoot with?

Re: Port Hardy Trip Pics
Thanks peeps. I'll pass on the kind words. It'll mean a lot to her. I'm a little biased but I think she's a serious up and coming UW photographer in the PNW.
Curt, the CK was incredible. Thanks to you and Mel for everything. Those extra NDL's make a big difference when you're shooting finicky subjects down deep. Even without the camera it's as much fun as you can have with clothes on.
Lundsyd, she shoots with a G10.
If anyone wants to get a taste of Port Hardy for themselves, I seriously recommend talking to John De Boeck at The Hideaway. I don't really have enough words to describe what a special place it is. On top of that, John lives up to the legends while remaining incredibly kind, entertaining and helpful.
Anyway, back to the grind. I'll jump back on in a couple of days and post some video hopefully. Till then...

I couldn't have said it any better myself!!! The Hideaway is literally one of my favorite spots on the face of the Earth, and John is most certainly a huge part of that! He's going to have a booth at the Dive Expo next weekend in Tacoma, and I hope that as many NWDC members as possible stop in to talk with him about the wonder that is Browning Pass....in_minsk_we_trust wrote: If anyone wants to get a taste of Port Hardy for themselves, I seriously recommend talking to John De Boeck at The Hideaway. Please tell your wife that her photos are absolutely superb! I especially enjoy the octopus/diver shot above....it takes my breath away! In looking though the link you posted I also really enjoyed the shot of the Warbonnet and Red Irish Lord together - you don't often see something like that.
Great stuff! Thanks for posting, and I'm looking forward to seeing some of your videos as well.
