Hazmat Gear Recommendations

Post by meex56 »

Hello everyone,

I am looking for recommendations on general hazmat diving gear. I work a job that requires me to be in full hazmat gear along with full AGA face mask.

any recommendations on what to buy and from where would be very helpful :-)

everything I need to buy is the mask and suit.

Thank you for your input everyone. It will be very helpful and considered.

Thanks Again,
-Nathan

Your health and safety officer (and/or diving safety officer) should be setting you up with the appropriate gear based on job specific analysis. Its all special order anyway. The Viking rubber suits with dry hood are popular because they are easy to decontaminate and resist most oils well. But that's not really "hazmat" since water can still enter; hard hat and supplied air is more common. Diver Commercial in Ballard can special order what you need, but you shouldn't be buying any of this stuff without consulting the person who's going to sign off on the dive.
