Dry suit repairs

Post by JTBach »

I'm in the process of resurrecting my scuba gear after 5 years of freediving. I think I've gotten everything taken care of except my dry suit. The neck seal is trashed, but the wrist seals seem fine. Anyone have a suggestion on who would do a good job of replacing the seal that's within driving distance of Seattle? Thanks for the help.

Underwater Sports on Aurora does seals in house, and has a pretty quick turn around time. It's not super hard to do them yourself, either, if you have the inclination.

Just had Tacoma Scuba do a neck seal replacement. Cost was good and good turnaround.

... assuming it's a latex seal ... neo seals are a bit trickier, and I don't know if any local dive shop is equipped to do them ...

Yes, it's a latex seal. But I've screwed up enough DIY attempts that I think I'll leave it to someone who knows what they're doing. And that's why I asked about a shop that does a good job.

I have had neoprene seals replaced at Underwater Sports on Aurora. Also had them tighten up neoprene seals.
