Hoodsport, 9-19-14: 6pm, high tide/outgoing.
Good! Respectable 15ft viz with very very slight haze, all the way down to at least 60fsw.

San Juans - Dawn's Bottom 20-40', Larry's Lair 20-40'.

Much better than I expected given our weather patterns.

Dove Madrona Point (north of Nanaimo) on Friday, 9-19. Vis was an amazing 70' plus. The next day on the Saskatchewan we had 40' plus. The lovely weather continued on Sunday. The Cape Breton gave us 50'.

Three Tree Point today -- viz was quite bad anywhere above 50'. It cleared out a little bit below 50', to maybe a murky 8-10'.

Maybe 10-15ft viz below 30fsw.
Lots of little krill in the water.

Excellent vis at Muk earlier tonight 30+ feet and no particulates in the water (wish I brought wide angle).

Cove 2 was also great in spots last night. At one point I could see the surface clearly from 40fsw. Of course, the usual silted out areas from divers but other than that very good.

We dove Redondo yesterday. The top 30 feet was pretty murky, but it opened up to about 15' with a lot of large particulates in the water when you got deeper.

Today we did the sunken buoy that is adjacent to the Omar (not the original plan!) and Blake Island reef. Viz in both places was okay but not fabulous, maybe 15 feet, again with a lot of large particulates (not whale snot- finer than that).
