Got ferry reservations today. I will be at the campground by 9 PM next Friday. Staying until Thursday. Will be looking to dive Saturday morning as the tides are a bit better then than in the evening.

If possible, I will be setting up camp in the same location as last time.

Should I get there early and cordon off an area with crime scene tape?

Hells yeah. If anyone can get there and spread out to save that area, that would be awesome.

I'm still trying to decide what to bring, but it'll probably include something I've foraged (morels, spring kings (porcinis), stinging nettles made into pesto), and some of my charcuterie stuff (bacon, pancetta) from a pig I got from a local farmer raised naturally/sustainably.

Oh, and this past weekend, with the low tide, I got a bunch of really big elephant pensises, I mean, geoducks, so if anyone wants to try them let me know and I'll bring some up!

Good to hear you are in for the trip.

You seem quite confident in your above post. With that confidence, I am sure you would not mind upping the ante a bit... say $20.00, $50.00, $100.00???

So who all is in on the lingzilla wager this weekend....

Chad
Cory
BJ
Rachel??

Adam...what say??
Coup?
Matt?
Joe??
Ape???:)

Anybody else???? This could be a great pot!!!!

Yeah, as much as I'd like to, I'm just fortunate to be going on this trip. My money will be going to Chad for gas/hospitality.

I just got a call from Hobuck.... They had a cancellation and I got a cabin for the entire trip! Now we have a place to charge batteries and Jaksonbrown can stay in the cabin while we dive!

This is gonna be a great weekend!

$20 hell... Cory is right. The last gentlemans agreement was a Big Ben.

Although, to the best of my recollection, there were quite a few takers last time out there at a mere $5.00 and only a few paid up then. Thank you to those who did... you know who you are.

Weather is looking good so far for this weekend. 10-15 knots from the west. Will be a bit choppy, but not too bad.

I have heard that one of the "Biggest Ling" contestants has gotten cold feet and decided to not even show up to Neah Bay. Not gonna mention any names, but Cory and I are the only ones left in the contest.

I have heard an awful lot of good things about several of you spearos lately that will be out there with us. What say you?

Come on!!! You can turn $100.00 into $400.00 with the pull of a trigger.

Nothing wagered, nothing gained. no guts, no glory... and so on and so on.

I don't think Ms. Coop is wanting to go and I am not sure if she has given him his "manly parts" out of her purse. :stir:

no coop? Is it because he couldn't handle the baked beans contest? He knows he is really no match for Cory's Righteous Beans?? I think we have a clear winner here! :stir:

Shoot I still owe chad 5 bucks from the last time.

First of all I'm way too broke to wager $100

Second, $400 is a pittance compared to the joy of bringing up a fish that schools the chadmeister.

Coop is out for the weekend. He may show up on Monday. Mav is also out. Looks like he was supposed to go out with me on the 20th.

Matt, since you are not in the pool, I certainly hope you get the opportunity to bring up a fish that schools mine. :burntchef: :partydance:

No worries, even with the folks who are turning tail and running, there will still be plenty of folks out there to dive. Even with 4 divers in the boat, it will be a great day.
