Humboldt squid in Discovery Bay from the PT Leader
This Humboldt Squid was found July 26 washed ashore on Discovery Bay about a mile south of Beckett Point. The squid weighed 59 pounds and was about 10 feet long, although the suction-cup (with teeth) tips of its eight arms were missing. Port Townsend's Jamie Hodgson lies next to it for a size reference. The Humboldt Squid is described as one of the most ferocious predators of the sea.
