G11 sync cord

G11 sync cord

OK, so maybe I'm imagining things, but I was under the impression that there was a sync cord available for the Canon G10 Housing that did not have to be attached to the camera body. It looked like a sensor/detector laid on top the flash on the OUTSIDE of the housing. Am I correct in this, I haven't been able to find one online any where. I know I can also run the strobe in slave mode, but was hoping to try out this new fangled sync cord if it exists...

Thanks guys, that is exactly what I was lokoing for. I appreciate you're sending down the right path with fiber optics... I missed that key aspect of my search.
