Re: Reconciliation Park?
I've dove extensively at the Old Town Dock, just west of Reconciliation Park. I heard one negative review of RP about a year ago and because of that, I haven't got around to it yet.
There is a large mound of rocks just west of it, between the dock and the park, that starts at about 40' deep and extends up to about 20'. It's out of place there and was obviously dumped at some point in the past. Out further from that at about 90-100' is an old truck, but it's been there a long time and there's not much left.
One thing I've found about the dock and nearby sites, (Dickman's Mill, Silver Cloud Inn), is that the marine life largely vanishes in late November and doesn't seem to come back again until late spring. Dive sites that were great in September suddenly seem like deserts in February.

Re: Reconciliation Park?
Yeah, Keith. I've been out there on a few occasions.
It's right at a point where the current can get ya, and be a little crazy about it. Not much to see down past 60, some bottles to be found past 100. Some junk. That's about it. Overall, I've never seen too much life out there.

FWIW, I snorkeled here a few years ago before I got my certs. I think I may have seen a spider crab.

Have fun, buddy! I think that I'll find someplace else to dive on Thursday.....BASSMAN wrote:Has anyone ever dove here?
