I just finally finished editing and adding original sound (by Jeff Greinke, a friend of my dive buddy, Luke) to the one video clip I shot on my recent Truk trip. You can see it here: https://vimeo.com/bruceyates/videos
You'll notice on the video that this particular wreck is covered in green caulerpa-like algaes. Some of the wrecks were like this, and others had almost no algaes and were covered in corals and sponges instead. Almost like either the algaes or the other stuff staked a claim on each wreck and wouldn't let the other get a foot-hold.
BTW, the reason I only shot one video clip the entire trip was because: a) I was totally focused on shooting stills, and b) the first dive I took my new (XMAS present) GoPro Hero2, the flat Blurfix red filter, which is only rated to 100 fsw, shattered (you can see that at the end of the video) because I exceeded that depth by 10-15 fsw!

Re: Short video of wreck dive in Truk
Thanks for the posting. As an old sailor, history buff, and wreck diver, I would love to make that dive. It's unlikely however. I appreciate doing it vicariously.
