Hi
I've got a friend who's thinking about coming up to visit for some diving here. He really wants to find and photo some stubby squid, and believe it or not that is the primary purpose of his visit.
Does anybody have any dive sites which they think work the best for finding stubby squids?
I can usually find them with about 30-50% success at Three Tree, Redondo, or Alki Junk Yard at night. Anybody know of a site or better yet location within a site where you can find them even more readily? I don't want to leave him dry.
Thanks!
-Eric

Re: Stubby Squid Locations
Eric, I can find stubbies in the bottle field at redondo 80-90% of the time. I recommend splashing well after dark, like 9:00pm or so. I'd be happy to help find them. That way you can blame me if we get skunked when are they coming?
Re: Stubby Squid Locations
We don't give out stubby squid locations to avoid having people hunt them down, so sorry.
