Dive Site Name: Illahee Fish Haven
Skill Level: All Divers
Current Sensitive: Not really.
Location/Address: Near Bremerton, WA: Google Map
Free Parking: Yes.
Staging Area: Ugh. A steep parking area.
Surface Swim: Short.
Nearby Facilities: Porta Potty at the dock.
Special Considerations: A steep road and parking area leads to the dock.
Maximum Depth: 40fsw.
Known Hazards: Boats are common in the bay. Lots of fishing from the dock too, monofilament and lures on the bottom.
Dive Site Description: This dive site review is really just a warning label suggesting "Go Someplace Else". The dock has lots of fry and critters under it. A bit farther out there are three rows of tire reefs, tied together in lumps, with thick ropes leading along each row. Rumor has it that these were placed by Jacques Cousteau; if so, it's another well-intentioned faux pas by Jacques-baby. Like most tire reefs, not much grows on them except anemones and algae. The ropes actually support more life, including some tube worms. The ropes are handy because the visibility can be terrible here.

Great video! (Oh, so that's what it looks like when the visibility is more than 2 feet.)

Thanks for the good report. I wondered what those three lines of bumps were.
