Whoa! Can't wait to see one of these, totally cool. Look how that other crab seemed pretty pissed off.

I love the way it just demolishes the crab - almost like you ran over the crab with a truck tire or something. I was wondering how they got them without getting torn up by the claws (especially the red rock meanies). Now I know.

I'd want a better dive buddy
For a sec, it looked like the 2nd crab (1/2-way thru vid) was gonna try to save his buddy. For the record, I want any dive buddy of mine to save me from anything like this too LOL!! (But try harder).
Way cool, thanks for sharing!!

Was this taken at night time or somewhere deep? Looks like the light source were dive lights. Great photo. Wow.Grateful Diver wrote:Reminds me of a picture Uncle Pug took of Wendy ... the wolfie that used to hang out in the rocks down by the I-beams.
I've got it kicking around in here somewhere ...
Ah ... there it is ...

If you listen close you can hear the crunch. I think he past the crab off to his girlfriend in the den.

Both ... depth was at about 80 feet, but it was a night dive. The shot was being set up for another photographer, and Uncle Pug ... with his little Pentax point-n-shoot ... "poached" her strobe for his shot.Chris wrote: Was this taken at night time or somewhere deep? Looks like the light source were dive lights. Great photo. Wow.
It was just one of those lucky timing things ...
