I have been hinting to a few of you about putting DPVs into rentals. Starting Monday, November 19th, they will be available for rent for $35 per day.
Me and my divemaster Dane took them out tonight. They are fun. We zipped all over Les Davis with them and it was amazing. You go so fast and it is easy to keep track of your buddy. Barrel rolls at 50 feet are very fun.
Watching your depth is definately something to keep your eye on.
Did you know if you go too fast on a scooter underwater you can get seasick? Yup, that was me...sitting at 25 feet trying not to loose my lunch.
Anyway, call me if you want to reserve one and go for a spin.
Anyone want to rent a DPV???

We found a very inexpensive but easy to use Seadoo knock off brand. They have a max depth of 100 feet. You cannot mount lights or anything fancy to them. They have 2 speeds and are very simple to operate. The company is based out of Delaware and is marketed by the name Sea Dawg.
We are a retailer of these scooters and they sell for $299. The cool thing about them is people can rent them and see if DPVs are for them, and then can decide if they want buy the inexpensive scooter, or upgrade to the really nice ones.
I always like to try new stuff and see what people think. Everyone on the board has been talking about them lately and I wanted to see if they are as fun as everyone says they are. They are VERY FUN!

I have a tow cord on them to clip onto your BCD. They are very easy to operate. Right hand for low speed, left hand for 2nd speed. You let go, the DPV stops. It is very easy to use.

We will in December. I will post here when we decide on a date. If anyone is interested, we have the PADI video and manual in stock now. I haven't watched the video yet, but the manual is pretty good.bnboly wrote:So does this mean you'll be offering a DPV cert sometime in the future?
